Why so cereal? Christian culture in our country is so pervasive that it can take these kinds of hits (political capital and identity politics). It's not like Islam where it's constantly subjected to scrutiny or often just plain slander and degradation.

What do you guys think set off this sudden spike in anti-muslim hate? I mean, it's been a problem since 9/11, but my perception is that it has shot up recently. I personally think that the Muslim community center in NYC and right-wing demamogues had something to do with it. But i think an argument can be made that something like this happening was inevitable considering the circumstances. That is, how long can one pretend that a country attacking numerous countries in the Middle East in short order does not leave an impression in both the minds of the people in the Middle East and in the minds of the people of the invading country that they're on some sort of culture war against people from the Middle East?

Hit on Christianity because to many people are Christians? That doesn't make sense.

Also, I never said they were never violent. I'm talking about current events. Besides, those "Christians" only had the title, they did not live the life that Jesus asked.
