I have a ventrilo we can use to run the tournament and I can be the host of the tourney.

Since no one else is stepping up I'm going to start it.

-1v1 Tourney for this Sunday September 5th 1pm EST
-Games will be best of 5
-Maps will be any 2 player map that both players agree on, if they can't agree on a map a random league map will be used
-I will observe and host it, could use a co-host so we can get multiple games at the same time.
-Pairings will be random and winners fight winners, losers fight losers ect
-No prizes(yet) but I'll try and think of something.
-Rules: None other then no cheating/hacking/exploits can be used.

Post here if you are interested! If you sign up and are not online 15 minutes after start time you forfeit game 1, and game 2 for 30 minutes late and the match if past 45 minutes.

Uhh if you can think of anything else that would be worth doing/mentioning just PM me and we can work something out.

So who here has what it takes to be the #1 BG Starcraft 2 champ?

I think the winners vs winners, losers vs losers thing could get complicated, considering that some people may not be able to stay for the entire time. And having only 1 observer would greatly bottle-neck the whole thing. It's just me, but I think a bracket-type tournament, where each match-up sets up their own time time to play (within a few days or a week) would make things easier.

Possibly, but we can do the whole 'matches during the week' thing maybe with a bigger tourney to accommodate more people who have hard schedules to work around. 1 observer would bottleneck it depending on the size but if I got someone who would help we can get things moving along.

As for brackets lets do a round of 8.

Keep in mind although people said they would be down for a 1v1 tourney above my post they need to re-post to get into this tourney just so we are clear.

Also I think I'm going to switch it up to single elimination best of 3 games since I see myself being the only observer and not having anyone free to help this time around.

Na. If anyone has any experience with them which is half of the people on the list they can easily bunker rush/cannon rush to a 5 minute victory. That combined with any zerg players that don't have a zerg opponent for spine crawler rush are just plain screwed. I have yet to see a zerg player beat an insane comp on a small map 1v1. On bigger maps its doable with harass and fast muta's abusing the AI pathing but you might not make it that far.

Still we need 1 more person! Sign up before its too late!

Also @Misuicide when will you know if your on for Sunday or you can't make it?
