I wonder how long they will wait to add an Ah.

I don't mind a bazaar system but... on retail if I'm looking for something... yeaaahhh
That is... terrifying.
Did that happen again or is that a few days ago?
I still think it's kind of creepy how retainers don't move at all.
its a fact ask arsife.. chainspell full best gear cant sleep a peryton.
just a jab at the past is where that came from. sorry.
Quick question, for those of you that have played the beta, which jobs seem to be the most "OP" so far and which jobs seem pretty weak?
imo, its much easier looking through AH, than (home button then enter) then tab( home button then enter) per browse.... its time consuming....
op? over powered? pug! you do mar get defender then get pug with the new name second wind(chakra) abil, and a choose as you wish after. free cure from blood pact and anothr cure from second wind, means very very low down time! blood = absord your hit to hp and inflict dmg same time. the second wind will nromally land you 240hp per abil or more maybe 400 based on phys lv. deff a plus! hope that helps!
Ok this might be a dumb question, especially considering I've been playing the beta for a bit.
But how does the Market Ward work lol. I get the idea with retainers etc but where do I see other people's retainers? o.o"
Do I have to enter an instance in one of the market wards to be able to see them or does my server just not have any? *scratches Taru head in confusion*
Limsa -> Southern Islands or whatever -> Menu -> Teleport -> East Frippers
Edit:
Thaum is the best soloer imo, Conjurer can be pretty OP in Leves but at the same time you could run out of MP really fast... or die. From what others say: Archer instakills everything at 30. I still say Thaum would solo better though since you never run out of MP with it. Marauders and Lancers wiff and Pugs spam you with their attack sounds (seriously, try being on Vent near a party of 2-3 Pugs). Nothing much to say about Gladiator since hate is retarded this time.Quick question, for those of you that have played the beta, which jobs seem to be the most "OP" so far and which jobs seem pretty weak?
not sure if its been explained, but, each job/classes/rank, its different.
you got a physical level. thats your level. plain and flat.
then each weapon has a rank. and you level them.
its fun! seriously! job = weapon, and physical = you.
then say, i get lv 4 pug, now i have second wind(chakra)
now i can go back to using a axe(marauder) and rank that weapon.
i can now use defender rank 10 mar, with my rank 4 pug abil (second wind)
its a great system!
-.-
I really want FFXIV to succeed. I really do. There's just so many blaring issues that hurt the game that SE has officially said that their ignoring or keeping it like it is.
-No AH (seriously?)
-48 GuildLeve c/d (this really needs to be 24hr)
-No Hardware Mouse (wtf?)
-Lack of MP regeneration (could change, but its bad atm)
-Lackluster controls (this really needs work)
-Clunky Targeting system (bad mouse.. can't click names in party (bad 4 healers))
-Game just feels very bare (yes beta... )
This game has so much potential, but its going to go down the drain if they don't fix some of this stuff b4 release. Maybe they just want to start making money off the PC release and get issues fixed b4 the console release where I guess they plan on getting a bigger audience from? They are a console game developer...
I just think they need to delay this game for another 6 months - 1 year and get this stuff fixed.
There aren't really any weak jobs yet. Both Conjurer and Thaum are good, Archers WSs can hit pretty hard, Marauders do solid damage, Lancers have a lot of good abilities, Pugilists have great survival skills, Gladiators tank and can do retarded huge damage with some of their abilities if they don't have hate.
They still need to do a lot of balancing, and I'm sure things will change in higher levels, but for now you can pretty much play whatever you want and do well. There's so much more incentive to level multiple classes anyway (compared to FFXI) that you'll probably end up playing 2-3 classes instead of going for just one. As it is, I'm technically main Marauder, but my levels are more like: 15MAR/14PUG/10CON/6LAN just for support abilities and such. I'm sure it won't be much different come retail release.
The same is more or less true for crafting classes (especially given that you can subclass crafting abilities too).
