Holy shit @ ending, that really took me by surprise, it was a bit depressing. This entire game as a whole exceeded my expectations, and I definitely see myself playing it again. I think I missed a lot of Voxphones.

One of my biggest complaints were that there were nowhere close to enough checkpoints in the game.

I started this not having played the first Bioshock, and it's p. much gonna make me grab it.
Incredible game. I want more.
Does anyone know when the first DLC comes out?
After reading this thread I'd like to pick up the first 2 Bioshock games as well. I understand you don't need to play them to play this, but I'm the type where I'd like to play the first one. I only have a 360 so getting Infinite+1 isn't an option. I just went to blockbuster and family video hoping to rent 1 to see what it's like and neither store even carries it. At blockbuster, Infinite cost $10 for 5 days! I'll probably pick up Rapture edition for $30 @Best Buy. Seems like a decent price for 1+2+dlc.
dint know booker voice actor really played guitar, that's pretty cool
In 1999 mode, how are you people dealing with the robot sentry guns? They take too much ammo to kill but are a real huge pain in the ass even when just trying to sneak around them.
That works for a short time. Was hoping for an easier long term solution that I was missing, but I guess there isn't one.
I also need to stop my habit of eating all the items I find. Every time I open something I usually consume everything inside even if my health/salts are full. I have a feeling that'll start biting me in the ass if I need to backtrack to refill my health.
Yeah, Possession is really the best thing, that and aiming at their weak point from behind cover.
The way I got through 1999 mod was I made great use of Possession and Devils Kiss, fully upgrade both. Devils Kiss traps everywhere really do kill anything that they hit. And if you're having issues with Sentry Bots now, wait till the game starts to throw patriots at you. That's a pain in the ass.
Also, good weapons, Carbine, shit's a beast if you aim properly. I kept mine from the first time I got it till the end of the game. The other gun I found to be truly amazing was the Volley Gun for 1999 mode. Explosives do some serious damage. They work great against Firemen aswell.
yeah, my first time through the game, I always had Carbine and Volley Gun
Headshots and a sniper rifle, much like any survival mode. If I couldn't afford the ammo to take a sentry gun out I'd run past it.
just got to Monument Island and just reached the part in the lab where the three items are that you can "transpose"
I just wiki'd what a Menarche is, and ew.

Spoiler is a tip a fight you can skip near the end of the game (before the huge fight) if you are having issues.
What kinda things do you guys think will be in the DLC? It was such a perfect complete story it will be interesting to see how they'll wedge new columbia missions in.
