Orajel IS garbage.

I get cancher sores every few months. I use a gel called Zilactin

You can't get it at Walgreens, so I go to a local pharmacy called Rite-Aid.

Works 100000x better than Orajel, will stay in your mouth for hours.

Also, what the dentist gave you is what's called by many doctors, Miracle Mouthwash.

There's a way to make basically the same stuff at home. Mix about 1tbsp of Benadryl (antihistamine) and Maalox (antacid) together in a small cup and gargle with it. Works exactly the same way.

Don't swallow, though, or you'll get sleepy/get a stomach ache
