I don't know, for holy bolt spammage and if you need the stp from them yes they are better, otherwise they're a wash. Just looking at hands, feet, and main weapon comparison since praeda would let you go back to Vulcan's Staff from Mekki Shakki.

    Vulcan's Staff + Praeda Hands/Feet = Str+5, R.Att +20, R.Acc +12, Enmity -7, stp+5, Mnd+11

    Mekki Shakki+Blood Gauntlets+Scouts+1 = Str+5, R. Att +23, R.Acc+11, Enmity -4, Stp+5

Cut out the redundant stats and you have R.acc+1, Enmity -3, and Mnd+11 vs R.att+3. The -enmity isn't a big deal to me, and the mnd only comes into play for holy bolts. Even if you just look at NQ Scouts Socks it's 2 R.acc vs 1 R.att. You're not gonna see a big difference either way you go, let alone being outclassed.

    Spoiler: show

On topic the closer people get to 99 the harder it's going to be to motivate them to do dynamis, splitting the currency is going to be the easiest way to motivate people. If the group you are running with are nice they'll give you a discount on their currency, or you can write the discount into the event rules like others have suggested.

How can you compare Racc to Ratt in the same slot. One does not equal other.

It's 20 HP per minute you didn't have before. You can idle in pdt or something when you're at full. Plus it has 6 hHP for those areas where you don't lose TP wile resting.

Why not just to dynamis tav only? Easy to low man, less currency but more interest from people then regular dynamis I would think on the whole.

I was looking for idea's, systems already being impleted, not assuming ppl would attend solely for AF. I realize my idea was half retarded, due to the fact that I'd be keeping a majority of the currency. Those that want AF under my the general idea I was tossing around would get it.

What I was looking for was a way to maintain a solid roster, to avoid the "I got my AF, I'm out" players. Hence asking what idea's people with more dynamis experience I have (In terms of member retention).

What used to be popular on Asura was a /sh "/seacom 2, win 2" system, mentality, which I'm hoping to avoid, but won't discount. I'm just a dude hoping to finish his relic, while possibly being able to put together a solid static and have something respectable to offer them, hence giving them currency and the AF they want. I never said it was currency OR AF.

As for me keeping a majority of the currency under that idealogy, it just made sense seeing that I was the one upgrading a relic, and they'd be selling their coins for profit.

And the gil that I spent to get to stage 3, was done slowly, over time, when I had a lil gil and nothing to do with it. Figured I'd start a relic, and see if I could finish someday. If not, getting to stage 3 and not finishing it hardly effects my overall moral towards the game.

I'll figure something out, or not. But if I do, I won't stop til it's finished. Thanks for the feedback, both good and bad.

I recommend implementing a system like what I suggested above, then don't recruit people who are working on relics. Set it up so you get no overt benefit, but include a 20% price reduction for members buying currency and make sure you're the only one buying currency.

Say you get 4mil worth of Bronze in one 10-man Sandy run. In your initial system, you'd get 2mil worth for free.
In my system, you'd pay 3.2mil and get 320k back from payouts. So you essentially get >25% free. Everyone else gets 320k, when they could have gotten 400k if you'd just done sell/split.

Everyone does their job in Dynamis to ensure a successful run, but you deserve the currency more because you are upgrading a relic? Everyone's time has value. Yours isn't more valuable just because you have a stage 3 relic.

It's either rip off a bunch of a group of 30+ newbs like everyone else does or pay a good group of 8-12 what they're worth. Anyone can start a Dynamis shell. What's the incentive to join you when they can start their own with the same scam you plan to do?

I was doing something like this recently. Sometimes it works out. Other times you'll only end up with 200-300ish coins and the split ends up only being a few 100k per person. I don't know about you, but I can make gil much more easily than making a few 100k for a 3 hour dynamis run.

Unless you plan on waiting a REALLY longtime to make that relic, I'd investigate other avenues for funding.

Didn't really see it as a scam if the people going in know upfront what my intent is. As I said, I was merely looking for alternative forms of incentive to keep the same static members, quality well skilled members that might not need AF, so that I can minimize rotation of incoming/outgoing members. Some small statics on my server already do this, with their own system(selling AF, currency).

Again, I was merely entertaining various idea's, with the one mentioned in the OP as the forefront idea I had. I can see how you may view it as a scam, but I'm nowhere near implementing a system, and should a small static be game for the idea, the term scam loses further meaning.

I suppose I should have mentioned the sale of AF to line the statics pockets as well, but I was primarily focused on the ideology/feasibility of the core idea I had. My own fault for not mentioning the possibility of selling AF2 to the pure benefit the static, and causing a derail of sorts in my own thread.

I think I have a solid gameplan already brewing, just need to iron out a few logistical wrinkles.

I'm pretty much done here, but wouldn't dream of asking this thread to be locked. The feedback thus far has been worth the read, at least IMO. Keep it flowing.

Edit: Everyone does there job to ensure a successful run, and I deserve the currency more because I'm upgrading a relic? Isn't that how it's been done since the dawn of dynamis? Or am I missing something, other than your own logic/feelings applied to this particular situation? How many Dynamis shells started over the years where the leader/started of the shell started the shell to upgrade a relic? And of those, how many, for the lack of better terms, "Profit shared" as incentive, other than "I lot currency, you lot AF2"? To a certain degree, I see your logic, but for the most part, it escapes me.

Think of yourself as CEO of a company. Let's pretend you run Apple. Now you want to keep people with all the right degrees and certifications, the sort of people who could be teaching classes but certainly won't be attending many, and you want to do it paying them entry-level salaries of $25k a year. And you seriously imagine that's going to happen? Unless you're personally blowing each and every one of them after they've put in their hours for you, I cannot begin to imagine what sort of incentive you can offer with such paltry compensation. Even if I was your friend, I'd tell you to pound salt if you expected me to play that game for more than one or two runs.

Honestly, I'd just run a shitty shout linkshell full of randoms that want AF. Bag all the currency, give them all the AF. Anyone who starts losing interest in AF and questioning your ways, replace them with more shout randoms. System based on retards? Absolutely, but those retards are damn happy. When they stop being happy, you get new ones.

This is what I'm more leaning towards. There are a few lowman dynamis groups on Asura that upgrade relics, sell currency, and AF, and seem to be doing alright at it. What I was hoping to get from this thread was a more palpable understanding of how it may work.

I'm not at all above /sh groups. I was just hoping to establish a system where I could make a respectable amount of currency, and keep the static happy financially.

@ Onorgul, I understand your analogy, and won't argue against the merit of it. I've already addressed that I was aiming to make all parties that would be involved happy. My idea was just a theory, a basis of what may have possibly turned into something workable. Which is why I made this thread, for some insight.

But, I never said that is what I was going to do is approach potential members with this idea and expect them to jump on board. No one would have realistically been in the position to tell me to "pound salt".

Been awhile since BG forum members has had a lil drama to entertain themselves with, I can honestly say I'm catching a whiff of that here, and I hope it's been enjoyable.

Inevitably I was trying to avoid the /sh method to obtaining members, but I'm not against dealing with people coming and going as they get AF. I was merely hoping that I could come up with something to make a smallish static, and keep the members happy.

But I'll just start a /sh based dynamis LS, and keep all the currency while everyone works together to ensure victory because I have a stage 3, because that's just totally original.

Joking aside, Asura is used to /sh dynamis groups, so I'll just go that route. I'm not above it by any means.

Continue having fun with this thread .
