    PC upgrade

    Hello Everyone

    A few weeks ago i lost my PC to a thunder storm(crappy PC anyway) so my dad took pity on me and bought me a new one without telling me and he got me a HP p6310f. Sadly i dont know alot about PC so dunno if it is good or crap. So i ask you guys to help me upgrade the PC to make it better. I don't need a PC that runs crysis in max settings all i need is a decent PC for gaming. Here are the specs of my new PC:

    Mainboard : PEGATRON CORPORATION VIOLET6
    Chipset : nVidia nForce 720a
    Processor : AMD Athlon II X4 630 @ 2800 MHz
    Physical Memory :6144 MB (3 x 2048 DDR3-SDRAM PC3-10700 (667 MHz) - [DDR3-1333 )
    Video Card : NVIDIA GeForce 9100
    Hard Disk : WDC (1000 GB)
    DVD-Rom Drive : hp CDDVDW TS-H653R SCSI CdRom Device
    Network Card : MCP77 Ethernet
    Operating System : Windows 7 Home Premium Home Edition 6.01.7600 (x64)
    DirectX : Version 11.00
    Power Supply: 300W
    Expansion slots
    Slot type Quantity
    PCI One (One available)
    PCI Express x16 One (One available)
    PCI Express x1 Two (Two available)
    PCI Express x1 minicard socket One (One available)
    Don't know if u guys need more info. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Edit: The vid card is integrated ty to dranio for pointing that out

    Just offhand, I'd say video card first, but you would definitely need a higher wattage power supply for that as well.

    Letting people know what you plan to do with this would probably help. "decent pc for gaming" isn't really descriptive. Give an example of games you DO want to play.

    this. by looks of your expansion slots I'm assuming the graphics are integrated as the PCI-e is available?. a larger power supply as well.

    the cpu should be able to play 14, though probably not at high settings. I don't know how HP's handle upgrades on the cpu, but I know my old ACER just refused to accept a new cpu. I even used the exact same cpu as mine except the dual core version and it still wouldn't accept it.

    everything else looks decent to me, though I'm not the best with computers.

    You need definately a better video card, it's outdated and will bottleneck your cpu.

    That graphics card is nowhere what you need.

    You need at least a gtx 285 or a radeon HD5750 to play it at all. Higher than that to play it well.

    You're going to need about a 600 watt power supply to power the CPU and this GPU.

    tyvm for the advice, Can you suggest another good vid card but cheaper?($100-$150ish) sadly price of this is like half of what my dad paid for the whole PC.
