It is preference, i just cant stand a commentator that doesn't have a good vooice for it or doesnt keep it entertaining. Think imma just stay with husky, he might not be as talented as far as gameplay goes, but he doesn't make it boring for me =(. So when is the next big tournament?

Its possible but he obviously means mass marine with the control he does, which no other player in the world has done yet. Maybe once a zerg gets that good of control he could deal with mass marine. Hard to say for now.

Watching the games with NEXGenius now and his little ghetto 'uh-uh no you di'it' wag was so hilarious, what a cocky SOB, love this guy.

Kaylia, watch them live at gomtv.net or buy a season pass for 20 bucks to watch the VODs, it's very well done with great commentary definitely worth the money. I personally split it with 3 friends so I only end up paying about 5 bucks and we just share the account.

infesters man, if Kyrix made half as many banelings as he did in all those games he would have had half a dozen energy-upgraded infesters to FG, albeit also requiring superior control he probably doesn't have yet

Oh yeah, I'm not saying terran strat to zerg should always be mass marine or anything lol. I was just saying that against Foxer: would any zerg have a chance if Foxer's marine build is to counter infestor/bane play?

@GRT, in the interview Foxer says that his mass marine build he practiced was against infestor/bane play and that it would punish a zerg too much if he didn't over-commit(delaying infestor) to banelings like Kyrix did.

Any zerg right now? Probably not considering how few there are. the only ultrafamous zergs are idrA and FD, but obviously the GSL has unearthed some new zergs considering there where more in the RO16 than any other race.

hmmmmm, i don't really see it; i mean obviously he's the pro, but remember Foxer kept rallying his marines and medavacs in a single file right to the middle of the map? if Kyrix hadn't been morphing all his speedlings and instead used them to micro and surround, it seemed like it could have been jsut as effective as the baneling waves and could have saved a lot of gas for infesters

and i thought part of the reason why Foxer could micro so effectively against the baneling waves was precisely because Kyrix had too many banelings and not enough speedlings to surround and keep the marines in place

He had a game against fruit dealer where FD didn't go for early banelings and tried to just hold off with roaches while he teched and he got rolled. You really have no choice but to go early banelings against that strat and then transition into Muta's as infestors take too long to become effective. Also if Kyrix doesn't get as many banelings he doesn't break Foxer's wall like he did in pretty much every game and he would just get overrun by mass marine's no matter how many speedlings he made.

oh, i'm not saying don't go banelings, but morphing 80%+ of his speedlings into banelings seemed quite wasteful; i imagine a good speedling surround with speed-upgraded baneling backup would be a bit more effective than mass banelings

i really hope to see how Zenio deals with this strat, assuming Foxer will continue to use it and that they meet

With less banelings he hits less marines, Fauxer never got caught with a surround he wasn't going to catch him like that. The baneling approach with Mutas and roaches later worked fine, if he teched any faster he would have lost and if he made less banes he would have lost to a critical mass of marines, as he eventually did in each match when he wasn't able to make banelings and instead had to throw lings at the marines.

but the marines were surviving the banelings so well not because there were not enough banelings, but because Foxer had such godly micro he could split them as the banelings rolled in

what i'm thinking is if there had been more speedlings, a good surround would have taken that micro ability out of the equation, and only a few blings would be needed to kill a grouped up marine ball
