if they take away all "cheese," they might as well give you three bases, tier3 upgrades and 2 of each production facilities at the start of the game instead of 1 base and 6 workers

Don't need to take away all "cheese," since it adds a needed dynamic of the game, just this SCV allin terran's got. Lowering the HP of workers is probably a bad idea, but if they lowered the damage they do perhaps these all-in SCV rushes at the ~18 food mark would be easier to handle since the like.. 13-16 SCVs doing 5 damage every 1.5 seconds technically beat the damage 2-4 marines do.
I think it's too hard of a rush for zerg to hold off but, and everyone will agree, a zerg CAN hold it off. Except that a zerg needs to cut their queen and make spine crawlers(1-2) to defend that 2-3 marine + all scv all-in. But what if the terran scouts that since spine crawlers went down? He just backs off, makes 4 rax and does the same scv all-in. Now the zerg's been down queens for a while so their larvae usage sucked and they either made enough units to hold off or not enough drones to survive the all-in that comes a bit later.
I doubt anyone disagrees that a terran delaying orbital for the second rax to finish is less of a step back than cutting queens and making spines. I guess people would also have to agree that if a zerg scouts double rax they need to cut queens and make crawlers/units in order to survive the 2-3 marine/scv all-in. And only on shakuras, blistering sands, metalopolis cross pos, and scrap station is it viable to scout the all-in en route and have a crawler up by the time it gets there(by delaying it with drones/whatever).

Is anyone else hoping Rain wins the whole thing with the same cheesy strat 4x?(ala Nestea)
That shit would entertain me for months while MC winning would be awesome for the entire 40 minutes it takes to 4-0 him.
Anyone want to explain the Code S/Code A stuff for me? I've gathered Code S is going to be a tourney between the best performers from the past 3 GSLs but I don't know what Code A is about nor how/when either tournament will take place.
It's a little hard to explain but I'll try! This picture made sense of it all for me. http://i.imgur.com/Ev5Jc.jpg
Code A advancement is being played today, tomorrow, and thursday live on GOM at about 4 AM EST - 6 AM EST.
So basically, Code S is decided by 2 rounds of group(round robin) play. Top 2 advance from the 8groups and bottom 2 go on to face possible demotion to Code A. Top 2 from 4groups go onto the single elimination tournament to decide winner and the bottom 2 just retain Code S.
Code A tourny is single elimination and top 8 guys from that face the 3rd place guys from the 8groups, winner of that gets Code S, loser plays the 4th place guy from 8groups and winner of that gets Code S and loser gets Code A.
What trips people up is the distinction between: 3rd place in group8 play has two chances to retain Code S while 4th place only gets 1. Everything else is pretty straight forward.
Is there a place where I can stream the GSL matches? I'm mainly interested in the recent MC vs Jinro ones.
This is the best I know. http://www.sc2rep.com/replays/index?search=gsl
It's chinese commentary over the korean commentary.
MC is gonna man-handle Rain. This prick, Rain, without cheesing gonna get crushed.
SHOW TIME. GSL FINAL SEASON 3. WATCHING IT LIVE ATM
wouldn't be surprised if MC 4-0's Rain
kind of disappointing finals and holy fuck did they ever take a lot of breaks
Finals went pretty much exactly as I expected.
