    Unless stats start making a bigger difference this isn't really something that couldn't be handled by simply allowing a full stat reallocation or a per job stat template in conjunction with the current system. Also for the most part stats making a huge difference isn't the case, adding mage stats on melee is about as counter productive as it is leveling CON with STR. Seems like needless complexity for job switching, when this could easily all be handled more intelligently.

    So, the situation is basically as follows:

    Melee classes can benefit from casting spells, but will lack the stats to do so effectively.

    Casting classes really have no use for melee abilities or melee stats except vit.

    Is this right? So, hybridization will just gimp a character? Or is it we just don't understand how this really fits together in the big picture (I know I'm not seeing it)?
    Unless I'm mistaken, this point allotment system seems like it will offer many ways to distribute points inefficiently and only one or two ways to do so effectively. I was hoping for something broader and more conducive to innovation and creativity.

    K first off all abilities are gimped when subbed, however some classes don't have healing elements right off so you may level a mage job for cure or some type of heal to help you solo. Normally on the mage job a heal does 200hp, when you sub cure on something like marauder your cures will hit from anywhere from 100hp or below. So you just gained another heal besides blood bath on your marauder however it's gimp but still mildly useful. The easiest way to explain this is think of it like a copy paste of Blue Mage except instead of learning skills from monsters you learn them from jobs. So technically you can have fire on your Gladiator however it's gimp and probably not worth using unless your engaged in some type of gimmick fight. An example of this is if the mob takes 0 physical damage but you still need to tank it so you equip fire and change your STR to INT in order to cast fire for better loldmg in conjunction with your hate generating skills on your Gladiator to keep the mobs attention. So a lot of abilities may have situational vaule subbed however there gimp and only mildly effective if your crossing between DOWs and DOMs, because of the stat difference plus the 50% gimp from subbing abilities this may result in some spells performing below the 50%. A great example of this is gladiator casting fire with little to no INT doing 30 damage, but when he is on his Conjurer with the same stats the spell hits for 80.
