OK, So Sick of upgrading my PC, I want a new shiny package.

I think I have got it about right. However, never hurts to confirm. Have I missed anything? Can I improve anything without raising the price anymore? Is it all compatible?

Any Help you can give me would be awesome.

    Quite simply

UPS: CyberPower GP 800VA/480W Line Interactive UPS

ANOTHER edit. Changed some stuff around.

    Heatsink: Good
Thermal Paste: Go Arctiv Silver 5 or go home(what you have is good thou)
    Extra Fans: ...why?
    Case: Good.
    PS and UPS: Good
Mobo: Good, but you can get Good for cheaper.
Memory: Good, nice bang for your buck from what i've seen.
    CPU: Awesome
HDDs: Why two Raptors? SDD, Raptor, Storage(1tb 7200rpm) IMO
Video: Nice but why SLI when you could just go all out on a 480 or something of the sort.

    Optical: w/e
OS: Good, obviously going to want 64 bit.

IMO if you're going to build an Overclocking system id go big or go home with liquid cooling and such and if your just going to do some mild overclocking say 4.0 ish on the CPU you probably dont need that motherboard but w/e tickles your fancy. Prices may be different for you on different pieces since you're an aussie.

Yeah, overclocking full time, and thinking of running the 2 HD's in RAID 0..which I think is possible with this setup?

    Cheers, thanks for the input.

Was talking to some people and they were saying that the 2 x 10krpm HD's with RAID 0 would be beastly. Is it worth it?
As for the videocards, Ive heard that 2 460's are faster and more reliable than the one 480. Would like some more input from other posters here >.<
And I am mainly planning on keeping it around 4.0ish on the CPU as you said, However I always like to get a mobo that is better than needed in case of latter upgrades.

Honestly a raid isn't really worth it unless you'll be using it for something thats demanding of a raid, for example frapsing high resolution video.

Plus i'd never do a raid unless you're willing to go the extra mile and get an actual raid card like lsi logic, 3ware, megaraid etc., it just makes more sense to go about it that way.

On the subject of your graphic cards I haven't heard anything really good from the new nvidias in sli so I was only giving you what my opinion was on that. I've read alot of benchmarks saying they have good performance some not but 3dmark isnt a game and ya have to take into consideration that not only do some games not support cuda but they also don't support SLI. Thats my reasoning behind it.

And the motherboard its not really much different in terms of expandability than the toms hardware 2010 pick gigabyte board. Either way you're going to get a decent board. I don't see too much more coming out in the 1366 socket i mean 6 and 8 cores maybe but nothing major.

A aftermarket heatsink will usually come with thermal compound, so buying it is unnecessary UNLESS you're getting something really high-end like Arctic Silver 5 or IC Diamond 7.

Overall looks like a nice build. Dual SATA-600 Raptors in RAID for your OS/programs drive is sexy, tho I'd also get a 1TB drive or larger for mass storage (music, videos etc.)

My only concern with raiding for your boot device is that if for some reason one gets even the tiniest error on a software raid you will have to reraid them resulting in lost data, os, storage w/e you keep on them. Thats why i'd much rather play it safer(and faster) and get an SSD a raptor for programs and then a TB drive(7200 economy drive) for storage.

Thanks for the link, makes me a bit more confident.

I will take everyone elses advice into consideration also. Still deciding about the HD's.

Probably getting it within the next week or 2, if I have any more questions I will ask here.

Also, If I weren't to get both HDs, what would I upgrade instead?

I changed round the cooler, decided to go for a SSD HD aswell as a SATA one. Changed MoBo Also.

Took the advice on the thermal paste.

No more comments / advice at all? It seems balanced to me. Updated OP with changes.
