Oh? I haven't been crit with it on since i got it. I guess it's possible, but considering how much time i've spent manaburning with 10+ mobs hitting me at once, i'm not so sure. It's still what? ~.1%? either way? That's a pretty significant drop from ~1%. If not, i could just get van's for my pdt set.

Well, it could be that Van Pendant's -1% is 1/128, while Dark Ring's is 2/128 (like Blitz).

I didn't parse it (was on PS2), but I got it after I finished 4/4 merits and took it out to the tree and let mandies beat the shit out of me with Phalanx up and Van Pendant on. It was ~1% or less for sure, took me at least one Composure Phalanx II before I took my first crit. I'd wait until my log filled up and zone, then count them by hand, so the results could be more accurate.
My parses (on PC) without Warrior's Stone on on WAR show stuff having a ~1.2-1.5% crit rate on me, and I've never seen myself get crit hit in my PDT gear with Warrior's Stone on.

Could be. I guess i'll run out and test it when i get home. It's possible i've missed a crit or two, since i've never specifically looked for crits for any reasonable amount of time.

I'm sorry, are you two being serious about the critical immune thing? I assume it's because there's this hidden 1% critical hit rate that all mobs have and you're negating it with dark rings? You could be boss and try for a PDT/MDT/ECR ring.

enemy crit rate merits. Base crit rate is 5%. merits drop that to 1%. Gear can drop that to 0%.

Assuming only in abyssea. How would Loki's compare to osode on victory smite? And, is belt mainly for the DA or is acc/atk still needed?

I must have missed the argument in another thread, but why would Anguinus be better than warwolf for Ascetics? Even if you're not attack capped, the criticals should push you to cap. Assuming there's no crit rate bonus at 100% tp for fury, you should still crit ~54% of the time for each hit making the attack much less useful.

1) TP setup. Need AF3+1 Feet, maybe Blitz? Ambiguous gear: VBelt, Ravager's Orb, Iota Ring, Rose Strap.
2) King's Justice. NHead doesn't exist on Fafnir when I've been in Aery, also need STR+2-3 Earring. War Stone and Strigoi Ring.
3) Raging Rush. See above concerning Fafnir, Perle/AF3+1 head better? Warwolf Belt.
4) Steel Cyclone. Obvious gear is obvious.
5) Fell Cleave.
6) PDT. Need Colossus Earring/Augmented Darkness and some good Dark Rings.

Believe I'm in the lotting pool for next EBody from Odin. Open to all comments/criticisms.

Why doesn't SC set use heafoc/viking hat?

I don't know the haste on those legs but if your haste isn't capped, blitz.

Can probably swap cuch for forager's/whatever on most stuff these days.

While I feel my sets are very solid, there are a few places I'm planning on improving. I'm open to suggestions on anything I'm missing.
1. I'm in the market for a Juogi+1, per Motenten's input. I don't feel that anything else needs improvement, I do own an aesir ear pendant but feel that 2% MDT is more valuable to TP set than 1 attack and as such do not TP in it.
2. I don't feel there is anything I can add to this atm.
3. For the previously mentioned reason, I don't have an Aesir on me. Been looking for a Togi+1 for low attack situations, unsure on some of the other attack<>str swaps.
4. Who knows. It looks pretty, need a vulcan's earring.
5. Ugly. Ugly. Ugly. 0/3 on Ocelot Trousers with blue !!, still working on it. Should have them this week, since Verethragna is no longer a distraction. In the market for Hachiryu Sune-Ate.
6. Could use a better Dark Ring, as well as a PDT-2 earring or two. Don't like augments enough to bother.
7. No space to carry lemegeddon+1 or Phantom Tathlum. Don't really care anyway, the rest is solid.

Hachiryu Haidate for Victory Smite? 5 str vs 2-3 attack after looking at attack gained from str. Even if capping fstr, it's a str mod ws.

Okay, DNC sets. I'll say off the bat that I'm still working on my Waltz build (MKE, which ranks as my greatest shame right after not having /SCH leveled). I've actually found Waltz to be less important in Abyssea because mages enter the infinite MP code with Atma and WHMs can pretty much sit back and alternate Cure 5/6 all day without running out of MP. Still, it's a priority but not soloable yet. Anyway, for Abyssea parties where I'm being a quasi-DD on DNC/WAR with VV/Sanguine Scythe:

Unless things have changed since the last time I checked, Ephoria doesn't give me any more TP/hit, STR ring doesn't raise my fSTR, DEX ring doesn't raise my crit rate, and there's nothing better than Subtle Blow +7 to stick there.

MKE is an obvious upgrade, which I've been trying to do but everyone else seems done. I'm 0/7 on Temperance Torque, and he's such a slow kill that it's really making me want to not continue down that path. My Dynamis group did our last run this past Sunday, so I'm going to be Etoile Cape-less for the foreseeable future. 0/5 on the other NM, but his drop rate is reported to be so low that I really don't want to camp it seriously.

This set is honestly more Accuracy than I predict I ever need. Ecphoria is part of my idle gear / something I keep around because Amnesia is Dancer's greatest enemy, but it has 1 more Acc than Heed ring so it gets shoved in this set too.

Raven is a holdover from when it was a part of my Waltz build. I could probably use AF2 there now and sell Raven. This isn't really a serious build because the worst I kill with it is Tier 2 VNMs. Gules leggings are augmented with Counter +3, though I have plenty of other options at the moment (including the 5 Eva/4% Haste shoes). Scouter's Rope is 700k now on Lakshmi... hence Speed. I could use Heed over Rajas, but I should probably just use it over Alert for most of the stuff I kill. Plenty of upgrades here, but I use this build so rarely that I'm a little confused why I even screenshotted it. Still, there it is.

...and yeah, trying to figure out what the AF3+2 set bonus is for DNC. It's not a visible stat boost (like Bard) or increased Duration or something. I generally interpret "Augments" to mean "Adds a new feature to" while I interpret "Enhances" to mean "Increase the potency of." My next obvious check is the potency of Haste Samba, but that needs to wait until I A) figure out how and B) have time tonight.
