I'd start with a WS that can crit.
I'd start with a WS that can crit.
Not a huge upgrade but Strigoi Ring to replace vulcans.
I do ein, but a parse wouldn't be overly helpful since it'll amount to 85 amano vs 85 verethragna.. other DD all go monk, and ascetics is a bad enough WS to not be worth using over asuran.
I'll save next for you then.
Left out sets that either don't see the light of day (-enm, melee [but I have really good melee gear!]) or are just boring (enhancing, dark, haste...cure shoulda been in this category, oops). Enfeebling-acc seems pretty meh also, rarely bother carrying it anymore either, and rarely if ever see resists on grav/bind/sleep with what I do carry.

Nuke - Back is Pedant.
Mnd - Omega doesn't seem worth the inventory anymore.
I'm just bored. Oh, and I may have stolen your spellcast Thorny 'cause you gave it to someone else and I liked it overall better than mine (which was a headache to even look at), but had to add some modifications. Thanks!
Oh ya...I have a convert set, it's the highest MP pieces/cure potency pieces out of what's in the picture, I meant to list it, oh well (Serpentesx2, Af3+2x2, Lamia Mantle+1, Morgana's, Dark Ring, Surya+1, Dalmy).
Oh, and Vulcan's is in my satchel and IceStaff is being worked on. :/
Not sure if 1% cure potency is going to beat out the +mnd on boots(augur gloves vs serp set since you seem to carry both anyways).
other then that i assume that 1/2 the neck slots and no ammo slot changes are due to laziness before the SS or total lack of inventory.
Pretty sure half of Phoenix has Thorny's spellcast now.
Jelly<>Dark, no reason you can't have 2 dark rings if both are PDT. Umbra Cape is miles ahead of shadow mantle, on RDM in particular consistancy>average.. but Umbra even has a significantly higher average so no justification. Guessing it's an inventory thing, but like 6 jobs use Umbra so I'd still reconsider. Should probably pick up a cognition belt for nuking, since I see you have a pythia sash for cures anyway(I'm kidding, I think, but really don't see the point in using Ninurta's there).
I've spent a good ~30 hrs semi-solo (Generally mesam, 2boxrdm, and 1 person solo trying to pop Guimauve/Fistule, who I go help once it pops) farming Konschtat now, I don't have a single 5 PDT Dark Ring yet, that one there is 4 PDT. I'd love to get rid of Jelly, sometimes this game just really hates me. Part of the reason I haven't gotten cognition is the inventory/no mnd, the other part is the -mp as hume kinda sucks...Rog can say all he wants it's impossible to go out of mp, and I agree it is when you're solo pinning a semi-fast mob like Myrmecolean perhaps (or maybe solo at all?), I generally duo on red mage, and I easily burn it all and ride my convert timer, I honestly don't understand how people don't (unless it's enter>kill 1 NM>exit, or there's a lot of running).
And I'm torn on Umbra, I know I should get 1, and I think I will after I finish Briareus stage on Kannagi (kinda casually/slowly working on it though)...right now I kinda need my space for Sobek skins :/ Also, you can say 6 jobs use Umbra, and I have all leveled but blu, but I pretty much never use the others (blm for staff trials, brd every now and then if we're really desperate for one for some reason, whm gear is all muled, smn is PD only, sch I think will be good at 99, but see no use for at all until then). Anyway, I'll prob get an Umbra once I finish Briareus.
As for a cure belt...what else should I put there. Generally satchel Obi, and take it out if I remember for Lightsday...nothing else seems worthwhile, and I haven't checked my haste, but who knows, it may drop a second off. Witch Sash seems pointless, Resolute seems Pointless, and that covers all the non-Obi belts I carry. ;p
When solo it's fairly difficult to run out of mp, and not even possible unless using a pretty effective pin spot. When duo, almost everything dies before you can use ~6k mp (2 mp pools+3k~ from refresh), and if not, there are often martellos around, and even if not, there are tons of ethers/elixirs to recover mp. If you stay stocked on meds, it's basically impossible to run out of mp, and even without them, it's a pretty difficult.Rog can say all he wants it's impossible to go out of mp, and I agree it is when you're solo pinning a semi-fast mob like Myrmecolean perhaps (or maybe solo at all?), I generally duo on red mage, and I easily burn it all and ride my convert timer, I honestly don't understand how people don't (unless it's enter>kill 1 NM>exit, or there's a lot of running).
Funny you mentioned myrm though, since that's one of the few things i've ran out of mp on. I used an ether2, and lucid elixir every single fight.
Oh, I thought that pin spot sucked? Never used it personally...anyway, solo pinning I can see never running out of mp...last night duoed (then a 3rd came after a few) some Doomeds in Attohwa for KIs. We both started with 1 pop off the AH, but when 1 died, we didn't sit and rest for 3min waiting for another (and ya, don't go out of mp in 1 fight)...we killed more while waiting for ??? repop to get more pops. I don't see why you wouldn't do this, I used meds...Martello isn't very close by, and at one point I was actually completely dry with 60 seconds left on convert (with full merits). Using Minikin/Beyond (and on Iceday too!). My nuke gear is pretty solid (carry water/wind/ice/lightning obis in satchel and Uggy too, that aren't listed), I think, so it's not like I'm spending way more mp than needed to kill something, I just generally stay active and don't stop killing because an NM died. If all I were doing was zoning in to kill 1 random NM, then zone out - I'd agree with you, but that doesn't seem like the best way to go about doing things really. Also, as a hume, my MP pool in my nuking set with full merit abyssites is just barely over 1k, so I guess that's another 1k mp I'm missing vs you (and more if you megalixir).
but ya, my point isn't that I don't kill something before I go out of mp...it's the fact I don't just kill then leave, or kill then thumb-twiddle...
For PDT, since you can reach 50% in various ways, the goal is to limit the number of pieces needed to reach 50%. Use http://www.ffxiah.com/item-sets/185539 for the least inventory issues. Notice that you also gain a nice Refresh+Regen2x in the works while using this set.
Edit: The two jelly rings represent PDT5-6 Dark Rings. The Colossus earrings (Which FFXIAH gives 2PDT) represents augmented Darkness Earrings with PDT2.
Sets look good right now, You wont be able to 5 hit yet outside Abyssea with out using Carbonara. But when you get Usukane haramaki and Unkai kabuto +2 you will still have to TP in Attila's earring(assuming you switch to Ace's sabatons) and WS in Askar korazin outside abyssea for 5 hit. Then you can TP in Unkai sugemino, WS in Byrnie +1 and Hachiryu haidate in abyssea.
Edit: If you want 5hit outside abyssea you can use Shinimusha hara-ate for now lol.
I ended up using the rock directly south of lamenters, which is actually very effective.
Presumably you're not both going to be out of mp after the nm dies, and the pops drop pretty quickly, so you should usually be able to get a pop, and still have time to sit around twiddling your thumbs before the ??? repops. And how often do you usually kill the same pop nm 3+ times in a row anyway? Pop nms, that are nowhere near a martello that is. I don't know, i usually spend most of my time running around doing time spawn nms, and when i do pop nms, it's usually only 1-2 at a time.
