I just explained why: if the mantle procs, you don't lose your shadows. I believe Kirschy said the mantle has a 1/16 procrate. The difference in average damage taken would thus be 1.5%; if the 7.85% difference per unproc'd hit would matter you can likely use Migawari, or just toggle your PDT back over to Metallon. Regarding evasion, honestly, if I have autocapped evasion on it I generally don't care about maxing PDT to begin with.

Same, I only put my PDT gear in my bags when fighting something with insane/auto capped acc on me(like shaula..that thing is so hard to evade o_O)

Anything I'm doing wrong or can improve on? That neck is a rancor's collar for evis. agasaya's for TP/SA. +6 agi neck for TA, 5 agi/7 agi rings for TA, 5 dex ring for SA. garden bangles for idle,resolute belt/lamia +1 for MDT anguinus belt and tumbler trunks for evis/TA/SA(warwolf for SA though), angwig is 4str/agi/wsacc/2% WS dmg, mirke is 10 evas/3% DW, torero torque for evasion/idle, and musical earring for evasion.

Maybe you mean Hedjedjet? Hed is the big one, Shaula is the impotent one that kills itself for you.

I couldn't evade shaula at all in full evas gear, and I had to eat sushi to be able to hit it(Same with bennu/his KI NM though) as NIN.

Something is up with the intel in your zones then. The last time I did Shaula he was essentially a NQ scorp with more HP.

I know a lot of sets are situational. But what would be a really good/perfect TP and WS set now-adays for a THF with Mandau or Twashtar? I know there are TP sets like the above one, AF3+2 with Homam feet. But what would a mixed Crit DMG set look like, or is it even better? And what earrings/rings/ammo are considered up-to-date?

Real question is, does Heca+1 offer chances to free up slots? and AF3+2 hands clearly stomp even Heca+1 hands unless you could manage more STR+/dagger skill+/crit damage+?

Only things I would definitely change are ocelot trousers and ballerines for eva setup. Maybe change twilight to scouter's or Sveltesse depending on if you need more eva over DPS.
Only thing I question is using NQ heca feet over lithe boots for Evis. Probably a wash though.

First off...not a fan of Twilight. Decent enough to mess around with outside of abby with something like farming to cut down on bloody bolt use, but for serious DD get something better. (Twash > Daka+2 > STR kila > DEX kila > or augmented yataghan if you wanna be lazy XD)

Evis looks good. Would probably do a dex+3 or 4 earring instead of merman's.

Eva: ballerines again over af3+2s for better DPS. Would consider slither if needed more evasion.
This probably goes without saying, but max eva builds should be used sparingly. Only time I use one is if I have to hold a NM for procs or if I have to pull/kite. Otherwise If I'm tanking 1 or 2 eva kilas + normal TP gear does the job.

For MDT, can't tell if you're capped or not, but denali gloves/merman's legs and feet for more.

TA: Get AF1+1 gloves like now...probably going to be your biggest boost since they add 15% of your total AGI to TA's base damage. Suppa to speed up your next attack round, Denali head for the same reason. If not denali then bersail would be a better boost. Think that is anguinus you're using but dunno if it would be better than crudelis.

SA: love torque most likely the best. Shifting vs agasaya's I'm not sure on but would guess shifting. Brutal + 3 or 4 dex earring. +7 DEX ring. AF3+2 legs over tumblers for more DEX, haste, and set bonus. Aias over your anwig.

TP: af3+2 legs. Would also prefer homam over ballerines but if you're soloing/tanking then ballerines are ok. (personally I like having the HP on homam)

For max eva build sure, but as I said above, you rarely need a max eva build (especially in abyssea) so a hybrid DPS build would be better.

I don't even bother with a serious max evasion set on my Dancer. My only evasion body is Aurore.

My evasion build is only a max evasion build, which I use for casting ichi, idling, and pulling(I switch to haste gear before ichis cats goes off). I haven't created a hybrid set for my thief yet. Thief gets so much + evasion traits(+60 evasion O_O) and A+ that I think I won't ever need a "hybrid" set like my NIN has(which only has like +66ish evasion or something..pretty much equal to what a thf at default gets), but I haven't played my thf enough to actually test this. I recently edited my MDT set and added coral harness/subligar to cap my MDT with shellra5 5/5.

I also edited suppa into my TA/SA sets as well as brutal, eponas and raider's bonnet +2. I don't know if I'm supposed to go this far, but in the "what's better" thread people were telling me ta/da/dw beats out the minor increase in damage from dex/attk so I assumed the same would be true with epona's and raider's bonnet +2.

Do you know for sure you are capped though? I have a full eva set for my THF incase I need to hold something like Amphirtrite or turn for procs. Hybrid doesn't really do much at that point.
