Might still be worth it to leave it on, for the tank in a kite fight, or even mages using DoT + kite, or nuke + kite tactics. Even moreso once FFXIV's version of utsusemi is available.

~ and also i have only played beta a few times(to time) but it doesnt really seem like movement speed is such a big deal in this game i have ran away from plenty of mobs and lost them fine without movement speed but then again its only beta. But unlike in 11 where u chars lightly runs like a old man with astma in 14 your character acutally books it down the road when u tell it to

I planned on playing both games, and wasn't expecting any super save discounts, so this is good news for me. Cut price XI until Jan, free bootsies on 14, I have no complaints.

edit - I guess PS3-onry people could have legitimate complaints that they can't get the shoes, but oh well, the first few months of 14 will probably be buggy as hell anyway, I doubt they will miss too much.
