Exactly - the people who imported it did so because IT WASN'T FUCKING AVAILABLE IN EUROPE AT THE TIME! Wouldn't be an issue if SE were letting people start fresh with new SE IDs with no penalty - but since they're offering all this... they're screwing those importers - yet again.

It wasn't available because SE did not deem it necessary for you to have it. If you patiently waited until SE's official european release you wouldn't be having any problems at this time.

I read it that way, that you have a few months in which to pick up FFXIV. Not that the discount only lasts a few months.

This how I read it too. SE wants FFXIV sales, and the squiggly lines on the orange and blue bars signify it reaching far past december and january.

If you want to bitch about not getting the discount? We had FFXI 3 euro's cheaper per month most of the time anyway the past 6 years.

EU account here, when I started up I had the option to pay dollars or £, so I obviously picked the cheaper option of dollars, been staying with it ever since. So I'm getting cheaper fees and will be getting this bonus too, yay for small things I guess.

Yay? It's better than nothing, but it really should be a permanent discount. Hopefully SE will decide to extend this discount indefinitely.

I have a better discount: Cancel FFXI account. Which is what I assume most are/have done. If you have time for 2 MMOs at the same time, good for you. But I think these "perks" are pretty lame, and just an excuse to hold on to your FFXI avatar a bit longer, fooling yourselves.

If they want to give special attention to FFXI users, I think newcomers will feel robbed "why didn't they just call it FFXI-2" we all know that title would bomb, but trying to pass it off as FFXIV may grab new people. I can see all 3 of these "perks" becoming null over time.

I have an active FFXI account, and I'm not canceling it. But not because of these "perks"
