Yeah I just Adhoc Party everything too... Phantasy Star Portable 2 was the only thing I was tempted to use Infrastructure for simply because a couple of friends without PS3s were playing it. Even though that had Infrastructure though there was plenty of people on Adhoc Party playing it so it didn't make much difference for playing with randoms.

Everyone should have ps3 if they have psps right? What kinda gamers are they! I've got 2, I think the ratio is 1ps3:2psps

I practically never play my PSPGo on public transit, on line rides maybe 1hr+ I might consider it, but I have very few of those. I find it a pain in the ass to use RemoteJoy and a wired controller as well. So for me, it's basically just at at home thing, otherwise i'd never have bought a PSPGo.

For those who don't mind it, the dock+quick ps3 controller and cheap price are the selling point imo, don't have to hold it, better controls.

Like 20$ I believe? You can't actually charge via USB unless the PSPGo is in USB mode, which means you can't play (though again, there's a hack of sorts for that if you're into that sort of thing).

Dock let's you charge and play, but mostly, it let's you charge + do video output, or charge+not hold the PSPGo, so you can play with a PS3 controller I'm sure you could just hack it though, charge via USB while playing + use motion joy and just prop the Go up against something, I just found it easier to spend the 20$.

And to whoever asked earlier, yeah you can still use mem sticks with any version of the PSP, I highly recommend at least a 16gig one, so you can take good advantage of all the sales on PSN as they come along, and keep the large majority of your games available, wherever you go. I don't have any classes on the same day this semester, otherwise i'd probably use my PSP a bit more. If i'm just gonna be playing shit for like 10-20 minute bus rides or what not, iPhone makes due, since alot of those games are designed for short play times I find (yay Infinity Blade), whereas if i'm playing a PSP, I probably wanna set down for at least 60 minutes if not more.

Infact, the only PSP game i've ever played on bus/train is Dissidia, cuz matches are fairly fast lol.

Manufacturer breaks cover and comments on recent security breaches; network updates planned.
Sony has at last broken silence on recent developments which have seen its PlayStation 3's security measures completely defeated.
The firm has remained resolutely tight-lipped since news broke that a hacking group named fail0verflow had gained full control over the system, after reverse engineering the code used to sign authorised software as genuine.
Shortly afterwards iPhone hacker George “GeoHot” Hotz published the console’s “root key” online, enabling homebrew developers to create and sign their own apps. Blu-Ray and PSP root keys have also since been found buried within the PS3 and released online.
“We are aware of this, and are currently looking into it,” Sony told us in a brief statement. “We will fix the issues through network updates, but because this is a security issue, we are not able to provide you with any more details.”
Sony’s response is at odds with comments given to the BBC yesterday by fail0verflow member pytey, who said: “The complete console is compromised – there is no way back.
“The only way to fix this is to issue new hardware. Sony will have to accept this.”
Both fail0verflow and GeoHot are staunchly anti-piracy, and have not released any tools that directly enable the playing of copied games, but it is widely expected that piracy will soon be rife on what was, until very recently, considered to be the most secure console ever released.
looks like sony is trying to calm down some share holders. it sounds like they are working on some kind of psn ban system and that's the most they can try anyway.

Why didn't they do this for the years the psp has been fucked? I just assume more firmware updates, sony is all talk now it seems like you said just trying to calm down shareholders

It's because the psp issues were fixed via slim models, and firmware updates.

Now since sony's main way of fixing CFW (firmware updates) is non-existent, they need to try and save face.

Pointless imo, I highly doubt they'll even get online to work as Dolphin (PC Emulator) doesn't even support official servers.

and amazingly, it sounds a whole lot like Squeenix and their "We are aware and looking into it" response.

Also, instructions for doing this (for people who don't want to download the files and read the readme...)

    http://www.redmondpie.com/how-to-jai...ackages-guide/

Question is, who has done this/is ballsy enough to? It's still early days, and for me I don't see a reason to as of yet, however once I've seen some more uses from using the official jailbreak I might pluck up the courage to do it...

I'm still gonna wait a while and see what the possibilities are with this. If I can put on my pirate hat and all future updates aren't going to cause my machine to asplode, I'll definitely do it.
