That'd be appreciated. My network is far too shitty to FTP it unless I can run another wired cable upstairs, which is just a pain in the ass. Not much I plan on pirating if I do throw CFW on there, so I'm hoping to avoid it.
Ok I know I said I was gonna stop asking questions but I cant yet
Downloaded MK vs DC universe and now I cannot send it to my PS3
On my PS3 I have blackbox and using the FTPD12345 user and all that shit I can connect to my PS3 np, so I go to dev_hdd0 then Gamez and then I copy the folder BLUSXXXX
The problem is that it refuse to send any files keep giving me Connection timedout when i try to send files
If I'm not mistaken, Ragnell was having this same problem
Yeah I tried his stuff and it,s not working
nvm it decided to work alone lol thx anyway
Actually I can't see the >4GB files on my FTP since Gaia split them automatically but I think RDR, GT5, FFXIII and Heavy Rain are the only one who's had >4 GB files.
I've tried to google a bit and I came across this http://karmian.org/projects/ps3splitter
Apparently it allows you to split the files on your PC for an external hard drive but you'll have to copy them from external to internal through Gaia Manager to launch them.
http://karmian.org/documentation/ps3...usage-scenario This page explains pretty well the process
@Ratatapa use Gaia Manager / Multiman FTPs![]()
That should be helpful if I come across any games with larger files, thanks. If Graces F does get a confirmed localization I'll probably only use this for Vesperia and Demon's Souls right now anyway, really not much else that interests me enough to download currently.
Dead to rights is pretty fun again
Update to this.
Sony was granted the TPO (Restraining order) against Hotz today...... pretty baffled by this. The court hearing will also be held in San Fran under California law.
So just remember folks, if you post something on twitter or youtube... it classifies you as a California resident in the eyes of the law!

Gamersmint has discovered a few of the stuff that the recently released Firmware update 3.56 fixes. The most important of the lot is that they have fixed the ECDSA signature bug.
This means, private keys will become useless for anyone who downloads this firmware update or any future ones released after this.
Sony’s also fixed the downgrading with this update and it’s no longer possible (without new hardware) to do so.
3.56 CFW might arrive but it won’t work on systems who are using this firmware version and might only be installed in pre- 3.56 firmware consoles.
Sony really delivered with this security patch, as reports are coming from all around and we can confirm that anyone who installs 3.56 on their consoles which are hacked, won’t be able to access PSN.
A user over at Neogaf has summarized what this means pretty well:
What this means:
- All consoles on virgin 3.56 or higher can’t install CFW or homebrew without a downgrade via hardware.
- Homebrew will run on 3.56 or newer once resigned with different keys (but you can only install homebrew on 3.55 or lower)
- CFW 3.56 will eventually arrive but will only be able to be installed on 3.55 or lower.
This is a major triump for Sony as anyone who downloads this firmware update is unlikely to succeed in hacking their consoles in the future.
All that is hogwash so sony can try and save face to investors.
3.56 has already been cracked, and the keys are all over the net.
from www.ps3-hacks.comKaKaRoTo with the quickness… Packing and unpacking 3.56 is now possible with the latest in ps3utils and ps3tools. Also updated are the keys for said firmware. So update your git clones!
I heard/read they added a rootkit allowing them to run code on your console. Can't wait for the lawsuit.
Issue isn't that they can't crack it, they can still sign shit and install .pkgs, issue is they put in a new feature that makes it so they can no longer install hacked firmware via recovery mode.
Basically 3.56+ as I understand it, can still run homebrew, but not games anymore.
So it's basically same case as the latest PSP firmware eh? Can run stuff within the usual privelages allowed for a game due to the keys being leaked, but if you want to go beyond that, a new exploit is needed to be discovered.
So do you guys think PSN will still be accessible on CFW in the long run? There's workarounds for the PSP, but I doubt Sony will be so lax on stopping it with the PS3. I'm still sitting on 3.55 deciding whether or not to go for the CFW. Also assuming a console/PSN ban, the internet browser will still work fine, right? I can probably get over the loss of Adhoc Party, but losing access to all the TV streaming services for the UK will suck too. I assume it'll work though being that you don't even need to be on the most recent firmware or signed in to PSN to access it.
Browser should work. Netflix used to work too until it became a XMB application.![]()
