This one is about as simple as it gets, he includes the files you need. I'm having a bitchin time installing Fallout New Vegas. I get the prompt to go to the xmb and start from there, then it starts loading an update at which point it gives me an error message. The fuck is going on here?

A jailbroken ps3 has nothing to do with the ability to apply a patch. If anything, most translators encourage you to import the game for obvious reasons. I'd hate to pour hours of my time with minimal or zero return.

I guess that was sort of vague and false to some degree. It depends on the methodology of the patch really.

He is specifically talking about a translation patch for a Japanese game, not a patched game able to work on different firmware. I honestly wouldn't know the actual method they plan to use. However,

-What will I need for this patch?

* A PS3 that has not been updated beyond firmware version 3.55
* A retail copy of Tales of Vesperia for the PS3.
* A USB drive with at least 128 MB of free space. It will not require any sort of "jailbreak" usb device.


We cannot guarantee that the patch will work on any firmware version later than 3.55. We also suggest that you avoid trying any sort of "CFW" in the meantime; instructions will be posted when the patch is released.

-Will it work with my backed up copy of Tales of Vesperia?

No. The translation will only work with R3volution, and will not work with backups, ISOs, or emulators. Buy the game.

Ah well - with regards to the question, as I understand it you won't need to hack, jailbreak, downgrade or use custom firmware to run the patch. All you'll need is an original copy of the game, r3volution (which can be loaded onto any sort of USB pen and then installed onto your PS3) and a copy of the patch. Nothing else will be needed, it will be as simple as that.
Now I think that's all right, if i've made any mistakes then someone please correct me.

Well it's a bit more if I check on thei website, and you posted it in the link you put, their patch only worksmifmyou have the real disk, I was looking for another patch (if someone made one) that you let me use it on a downloaded jp version jailbroken

There's no translation patch for Vesperia. The closest you'll get is the menus translated so it's playable, but you won't understand shit if you actually want the story.

Man, I just started playing Bayonetta for PS3. Last time I played this was for Xbox last year when I bought it. It really is hard to play on PS3. I'm not complaining for a free game, but shit. I thought they were overexaggerating at the time.

Graphics are muddy, the framerate is pretty unstable, there is screen tearing all over. The framerate might be due to it running off an external, but I really doubt it. I'm tempted to just buy the 360 version again for cheap.

Custom levels for LBP are downloaded via online play from inside the game.... so unless the DNS trick works for you to access online gaming, then it will probably never happen.
