Notice: Access to the PlayStation(R)Network and access to Qriocity(TM) services through your PlayStation (R)3 system has been terminated permanently due to the use of unauthorized circumvention devices and unauthorized or pirated software on your PlayStation(R)3 system. This use violates the terms of both the "System Software License Agreement for the PlayStation(R)3 System" and the "Terms of Services and User Agreement" for the PlayStation(R)Network/Qriocity(TM) and its Community Code of Conduct provision.

I didn't have to do this yesterday. I logged on about noon today (EST) without having to. Then logged on about 5 or so, and it was there.

Hilarious, this is probably one of the best circus shows I've ever seen a console thrown into. Sony is working overtime and getting minimal benefit from it.

How to unban yourself and possibly ban a random innocent person. But it boils down to getting the person's consoleid to do it so yeah, good luck on that.

Method to unban your PS3 by getting hold of the console ID and modifying what's sent to and from Sony. It was also possible to ban other consoles (though it'd require their console ID).

Any details on the exact nature of the bannings? Do they lock the console itself out, the PSN account associated with using pirated stuff, or any PSN account associated with the machine?

The ps3 itself has an ID code, and they ban that, so the console technically gets banned, unless you change the code after.

Hmm, sounds like secondary/troll accounts etc. are probably safe then. A couple friends have my login for sharing DLC and PSN games and such, don't think any of them have jailbroken though so sounds like I'm safe for now, haha. Gonna have to make a couple phone calls soon just to stay on the safe side!
