Unconfirmed since it's an anonymous source, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised. Kind of hilarious if true.

Nah I very much doubt it. From from all the threads floating around I noticed most people were donating something like 30-50 each approx on average, which is a lot more then normal. Every other major online donation cause I've seen is around 5-20 on average pp, so it boils down to there being a lot of people believing in the cause. I'm pretty impressed he shut down the donations after he got enough too, bet it would have been tempting to keep it going indefinitely.

Guys, SONY was today at my home with police and got all my stuff and accounts. So be careful from now on.
I... don't know what to say
Damn son, Sony working on people overseas now, shit's gettin' real.
lol good stuff, good stuff.
Stay classy Sony.
Coming from a law enforcement background........... this comment always makes me wonder.
Somebody please tell me how Sony is able to influence the world governments to bow to them without it being flat out bribery or blackmail?
Even after he got raided he still released the Hypervison bible, Straight don't GIVE A FUCK
I just want to know how he got the time to even do all that once the raid started.
he said he had it uploaded in mutilple places so they can't get to it easily
I really can't believe people are so eager to throw money at Sony still for the NGP given what Sony is trying to do in this court case (ie claiming your system is only warranted to work/function for a year and after that you have no expectation for it to even work at all, and they can disable features/brick it because of this. Demanding info of everyone who even watched rootkey vid). That stuff is what pisses me off the most in all of this. The other stuff is somewhat par for the course in these situations (suing hackers, patching firmware, etc).
makes me really curious what the legal background of graf's raid is. i mean everything sony is currently spitting is based on u.s. law, how can that get any foreign country to rise an eyebrow, yet alone order a raid? they need a search warrant filled by court and that was just provided based on an ongoing case in the u.s.a?
looks more like a stunt move to go anon, imo.
I read pretty much all the post and what little bit I can remember they said the judge was Japanese born I think (doesn't necessarily mean anything, but certainly couldn't hurt them), and that the case is criminal not civil like Geo's. Coulda read it wrong was reading two of the threads at once, but yeah think that was what they said. Of course I'm sure that is all somewhat unconfirmed.
They will probably try to do something like the CFAA and DMCA/omgz broke our copyright. I'm sure Germany has something similar. They might be able to get him on some kind of blackmail charge as well since he threatened Sony to lay off pursuing hackers or he'd release all his info.
This all should have been handled much more gracefully. Go after the people SELLING hack tools (ala R4/modchip/jailbreak thing) not the people doing it for free.
What makes you say that? I'm not seeing anything on the thread it broke in to hint at that.looks more like a stunt move to go anon, imo.
yeah but a search warrant isn't provided based on a case in a different country under a different law. oh well, gonna keep an eye on local newspaper during the next couple of days. i'm still bidding on graf is going anon, or at least i hope so
edit: first, the whole legal background it needs in germany to get a search warrant vs what sony so far has accomplished. there isn't even a case (or request) open against him with german jurisdication. second, that he somehow magically found enough time to host everything in his posession on multiple web mirrors aka cutting strings. now he could simply release further development anon based on what's available on the web. mathieulh is doing that by making his twitter private and taking down the ps3wiki.
It wouldn't be based on a case in a different country. It would be based on Graf breaking the law by developing for the PS3 scene. As I said above he is (to them) likely guilty of the equivalents of CFAA/DMCA and possibly some kind of extortion charge (can't think of the word I'm looking for the describe this... they got Geo with it too for his "or you could just hire me to fix it" line).
Edit: We shall see. I hope that is the case.

How long before this makes it into a movie: Jason Bourne versus Sony.
My god, Sony is just doing anything to try to stay together, their system has just become completely fucking ripped open
Does anyone know why I cannot delete or replace my Param.sfo with the one from DA2 folder?
