as of now the open source cant play games. Its only a matter of time now. We no how far sony is willing to go to stop the system from being hacked fully.
A update will happen fast, any new games wont be able to play and such. Its still good news for anyone who does not have a ps3, and might want to buy one and play the titles that are on it now. Do we fully no how this system works? This might be something sony can patch and stop unlike the xbox? This is some dev debug setup that they hacked into I think, that would mean SONY could just lock that down and take it out of the system, unlike xbox that failed with their disc drive.
Ah i did not read anything on it after last night my time. Good to no then,
It could be ported to the PSP soon...God please do that.
port as in I could use my hacked psp to hack my ps3 >.>? because the boards sold out fast.
I see what SONY is doing! they are finding a way to sell psps! news report is going to read "PS3 sales up 50% PSP sales up 400%, game sales down 90%"
haha, yeah...hook up your "hacked" psp to "hack" your ps3.
Blockbuster will get back on top with rentals for a few months
n900 port released :3
Can someone translate this alien language?

I need to buy a new 1TB external and open a blockbuster account.
What do you guys not get?
don't mean it as an ass, just curious if you want me to explain anything or not.
Jules, how much will this cost for me to ship everything to you and have you do it for me?
Hm, not sure, shipping stuff from here is annoying cause I don't have a car and have to walk to the post office, but it's not a huge deal. I guess whatever the price of shipping is and how much you can actually get a chip for.
I would honestly recommend just waiting for the psp version, if you have a psp.
If you can find one of these boards, it should be really easy to set it up yourself. Connect it to usb, download the programs they specify in that topic, program the .hex file, tada!
I bought a chip myself which should be here sometime next week. (Wish I had just waited for the psp version, oh well) I can make a tutorial and what not once I get mine and make it.
edit: Ok, lag stopped I think. I can promise you all that you can get this setup yourself very easy. anyway sleep time![]()
gdi, I had a post typed out and the forums hiccuped and I lost it. will edit this in a sec
edit: huh, post actually did show up, lolz

fuuuu i can't delete my own posts
Meh, don't have a psp. I'll need to find a microcontroller though...do electronics stores (radioshack) carry them, most of the online retailers seem to be sold out![]()
You can try. For this sort of stuff I usually use sparkfun or digikey, but like you said, sold out. Really not sure if they might sell them in stores. I highly doubt radioshack will.
Kinda wish I had bought multiple boards ;/
I'll do some google searching tomorrow, going to sleep for real now <_< you can delete my double posts btw
edit: keep a look at http://www.pjrc.com/store/teensypp.html I guess
they didn't charge my credit card yetguess it hasnt shipped, can't find any e-mails... uh, I'm sure I bought it a while back, crap lol
nvm found it, ordered it on the 31stsometime this next week I hope!
Also keep an eye on http://twitter.com/Mathieulh he should mention any other devices that it may get ported to.
PSJailbreak got teh banz.
Was there any other supplier that had the backup software solution? All the open source stuff that I looked at is just the exploit, but with nothing worthwhile to execute, probably because they don't have access to Sony's dev tools.
