Pretty sure it is fake. Look at 0:06 in the video, you'll see something strange on the back of the controller that he tries to hide afterward with his finger.

Anyone know where I can find a solid guide for the HTC Touch Pro 2? I've been searching for an hr and I can't find a way to jailbreak the PS3. Found a way to get xdandoid, but I don't know how to flash my shit.

edit: wow do I need some special USB for the touch 2...?

How do you actually know when it's jailbroken? I think mine is, but nothing happens beside the delayed PS3 startup

2 new options should appear under game in the xmb. One of them being "install package applications" or something along those lines

and those package programs will only work with jailbroken ps3's so thats a way to know. Also beware. If you keep failing t activate it and have to tons of power cycles somehow the xmb can screw up. Or be careful when transferring files in ftp one of those can lead to corruption.

So, i've heard from friends that select games you can manually edit and be able to play PS3 games on PSP via remote play (heard this when talking about Gran Turismo)

However, trying to find information on it has been pretty hard.

Is this true or a bunch off bullshit?

It's true to an extent. I can't find the one video of the one guy who was showing off his work, which he demo'd with GTA Chinatown Wars & Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines on the PS3. Was somewhat cool as I was speculating for awhile when PSJailbreak was announced as to whether or not someone would find a way to inject PSP eboots into the PSP emulator the PS3 has on it. The only reason the PS3 has a PSP emulator so to speak (granted it's not 100%) is because of Sony wanting the PS minis to be cross-compatible with one another including the save data, which in all honestly is a nice idea, like we can do with the PSX games already.

Anyways, I found this while trying to search for the aforementioned article. Apparently there's a dummy 'PSP emulator' floating about whose purpose is to brick your PS3, so be careful: http://www.ps3news.com/PS3-Hacks/skf...or-bricks-ps3/

On a random note, interesting to learn the PS3 does have a built-in warning message for overheating console. I wonder why we've yet to see that occur yet, unless it's just laying dorment in the firmware, perhaps for future models.

Normally I let SKFU crap side, because 99% of it is pure bull shit, he has no idea how to hack a toothpick to clean his teeth.

But this one I going to crap all over it, because it is really clear he has no idea of the PS3 system or it's design.

That "message" is in the lvl2 Game OS, and it in the 360 also.

On the PS3 it appears in the top-right corner as warning message when you playing a game or watching a movie, if something TRUELY HAS GONE WRONG!

Stupid Dumb SKFU is talking out his ass as usual, claiming Sony prevents this message from appearing so that is the reason for the YLOD!

Nope, Not the case.

If you want to see the message, turn on your PS3, wrap it up in a towel, or run some duct tape across the back of the air intake or outtake, and starting playing a heavy-gpu game like Metal Gear Solid

Bang the message will appear and the system WILL shutdown, just like it should.

Every real repair person out there in the field, knows the YLOD problem is nothing to do with bad design or airflow or crazy crap like that, it is due to the thermal stress cycles (on and off) over time on the LEAD-FREE BGA joints, plus also the fact LEAD-FREE solder changes over time, even when just sitting on the shelf not doing anything.

Everything hi-end electronic wise since lead was banned in 2005, will NOW 100% fail at some future date, not just PS3's or 360's, even hi-end laptops are failing.

But back to the kernal message that SKFU has found it, it works like it should, if the heat sink compound is wrong, or the clamps are not tight, or the fan is not moving correctly, or the airflow is blocked by dirt or tight space, the message will appear once the internal temp. is too high.

and as kaisha mentioned, don't touch anything which even remotely smells like a psp emu for your ps3. shit just bricks your ps3.

I generally check out Newegg.com for deals before I branch out my search. They send me a few newsletters a week, and they almost always have a deal on a drive in their weekly or 24/72 hour sales. Just checked and I haven't seen a sale newsletter from them yet this week though.

do you mean a usb dev board? cheapest would be to build your own (<10$). if you want a commercial one, i strongly suggest one comming with a bootloader. i personally went with http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/pro...roducts_id=762 (Sparkfun USB Bit Whacker -18F2553 Development board). these work with the PSGrooPIC, a PSGroove port to the PIC chips. took me 3min to flash the correct hex and get it to work after i read this sticky: http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65863

well for PSGrooPIC, about any board with a PIC18F* should work. so far i read confirmations about PIC18F2455, PIC18F2550, PIC18F2553, PIC18F4455, PIC18F4550.

The snes one popped up pretty quickly, kinda surprised to see no GB/GBA emulator so far...or even NES
