Praecis Gorget is 3 STR (1-2 base damage is going to be less than 3%), 15 Acc, and 2-3 Attack. I'm uncertain that Conserve TP is capable of saving a 6-hit WAR 1 hit to 100TP, so I'm valuing it at nothing.
Ravager's Gorget is a .04 increase in fTP and a ~1% increase in damage with 5 Acc.

So Ragager's Gorget is shit. Praecis Gorget may be the best if it lets you drop Acc for stats elsewhere, which isn't really true because we don't know anything's Eva anymore. Sea Gorget is the good old reliable WS piece, and probably what you should be using.
This brings me to something I've always made assumptions about but have never actually investigated -- if the damage multiplier from fTP doesn't change at all at 1.0 to 3.0, does the effect of a sea gorget still bump that fTP up? Rephrasing, RR's damage multiplier doesn't change whether you have 100% TP or 300% TP, so does a sea gorget still increase the damage, or simply change it so that you are effectively WS'ing at x+10% TP?

It increases the damage. WS gorget's have nothing to do with the normal effects you would receive from being at higher tp. That would be TP bonus. These are an fTP bonus.

    It changes fTP either way.

The fTP added from the gorgets will always help.

If your fTP on your WS is 1 (or a constant) at 100 tp, 200tp, and 300tp (like relic WSs), then your new fTP is 1.1.

If your fTP increases every 100 tp (like gekko), then your fTP is whatever that tp modifier is plus the .1 added from gorget.

    edit: Answered above already Q.Q

Okay, that's what I'd assumed. Thanks for the clarification.

80 mnk, no BB, capped h2h

Order of effectiveness for these weapons? (General purpose. Eating pizza)

Str/Attk Trial Fangs, Oat 2-3 Trial Claws (no proper footwork setup), Broken Destroyers, or Hades Santi

STR/attack > either of Destroyers or Hades (don't care which) >>>> OA2-3T without Footwork.

To make a bi-weekly crack at Magian great axes, at least OAT great axe is a little better than Perdu Voulge (fully upgraded), but well behind other options with similar effort required. OA2-3T is even worse than level 75 weapons for H2H.

On SCH, I'm trying to understand what I should be using for head. I have Agute which gives +7 Ele, but I've only heard people talking about int and MAB. Are those better than the + in skill?

Depends whether you need the skill or not. Int and Mab will add to dmg, skill will add to accuracy. If you're resisting a lot on whatever you are nuking then you need more skill.

All this is highly dependent on the mob level, mob type, your level, your race, your gear, and a whole slew of other factors. If you're not having problems resisting change it to a dmg + headpiece.

Tried searching came up with 4 different links, none of which answered the question, figured I'd ask, yes it's been asked before, I'm aware.
In the market for a new back piece.
Jobs appropriate to this discussion: SAM80 and THF80
Requirements: Purchase one or the other, or neither.
Currently own: Amemet Mantle +1 (rarely used), Forager's Mantle (current TP for both SAM and THF), Smilodon's Mantle +1 (WS for SAM), Assassin's Cape (WS for THF, dependant on WS chosen)

    The question: Which is better?
Cuchulain's Mantle or Cerberus Mantle +1

I need something that will work for both jobs, minimizing purchases required.

Are you in any situations where you feel like you need more accuracy for TP? If so, get Cuchulain's. Cerberus +1 will offer extremely minimal gains comparatively speaking for the investment. However, if you really want to minimize any purchases, I would recommend not buying anything at all until after the next version update.

Sounds about right... I couldn't figure out if the Acc+5 would help or not (Mithra). I typically only have trouble missing vs THF-type mobs...
I ended up buying some stuff to get my RACC+ set for THF a little higher (status bolts/winds when helping friends in sky)

Which weapon skill? I don't think Abyssea changed much except Heafoc Mitts are Alky's+1, most Aurore is pretty junk for MNK barring maybe the body.

The problem with the relic headpiece is the MND not INT on it. If you don't have merits and find yourself resisting a lot then I'd probably use the argute. However if you have merits or find you just don't resist, use Teal.

    For Drakesbane or Sonic Thrust:
    Aurum Cuisses vs. Tumbler Trunks
Currently using this gear for Drakesbane.

    Same question for BST Rampage:
    Byakko's Haidate vs Tumbler Trunks
Currently using this gear for Rampage. (Glyph Axe Main Hand, OA2 Magian Axe Off Hand)

Please feel free to tell me to change anything else that looks wrong too!
