    On SAM RR matters less if your 4 hitting though I suppose. I know 4 hitting is definetely possible with a Store tp atma (assuming 464 delay of keito +2) may be possible with just regain atmas as well. Also, a couple LS mates were saying they didn't see much of a difference using smiting blow with fudo

    For Sam Atmas:

    VV, as long as you're making meaningful gear swaps to account for the TP, is always 1 of the 3.
    Dropping from a 5>4 hit build with -1- additional atma is always worth it. It is never worth 2 atmas to drop to a 4hit build. This will beat out VV, but VV will still be a used atma.
    Any 5hit build should be using RR, and RR will outdo VV in normal circumstances.
    With Keito+2 (TP Bonus), the TP Bonus atma should always be used.
    With Fudo, if you have the TP Bonus earring, the TP Bonus atma should be used. If not, the TP Bonus Atma is better and worth using if you are WSing with between 120 and 230 TP. +20% WS dmg atma is better at 230+ TP (aka, if you run around a lot?). And they are so close it doesn't matter (WS% dmg is easier to get) if you are always WSing at 100 TP.

    Thus, here are the setups you should be using:

    Keito+2, TP Bonus, 4hit : Smiting Blow, Voracious Violet, ??? StoreTP Atma
    Keito+2, TP Bonus, 5hit : Smiting Blow, Voracious Violet, Razed Ruins

    I actually don't have a Keito+2, so I haven't looked at the numbers for 4hitting it, but if people say they can do it with 1 storeTP atma only, it's worth it...don't use 2 STP atmas.

    Most can admit that fully upgraded Masamune is “better” than a fully upgraded Amano. What I want to know however is just how much better is it while using ideal gear and fighting the same enemies?

    a) [low advantage] Marginally better, but better nonetheless. Masamune would come out on top but just barely.

    b) [medium advantage] Somewhat better where a clear advantage can be seen by Masamune. It doesn’t leave Amano in the dust but it doesn’t keep it close either.

    c) [high advantage] Significantly better! It leaves Amano in the dust and a clear gap can be seen between the two.

    I ask only because I heard different reports. Most (if not all) agree that Masa is better than Amano, but I heard some people say that it’s only a marginal advantage. However, others said that it was a lot better making Amano a very distant second. I really don’t know what to believe.

    Okay, just got an augmented Literae coat.

    Base is +4 INT, MAB +3

    Augments: MAB +3, spell interrupt rate -1

    Does this beat my Genie?

    Best belt for Blade:Hi? 60% AGI mod, I'm thinking of just using Fierce Belt until I can get Ang. [not like I need acc in abyssea anyways]

    The name escapes me at the moment, but there is a STR/AGI+5 belt for times when you don’t need the Attack.

    I looked at crudelis but Enmity-3. 9/10 times I'm intending to hold some hate so I kinda passed it over. Good call on Shadow/Soil, my LS hasn't done the new zones much yet so I forgot about that.

    The extra damage will help mitigate the enmity reduction on the belt, and if you are in Abyssea as NIN with decent atma, you should be capping enmity very quickly anyway, at which point it won't matter.

    Enmity caps... A little -enmity on WS isn't going to kill your tanking ability, or even have a noticeable effect on when you cap hate. The belts were determined to be fTP+0.1, correct?

    I just wanted to clear this up quickly but...

    By 4 hit you mean like, after one WS has been done and stuff, right? Not like, starting from 0 and gaining 25% TP per hit (Cause there's a cap on Store TP isn't there?).

    Just wanted to clear up my confusion, sorry! =x

    4-hit is WS + 3 melee hits.

    The above poster is correct, 4hit means WS + 3 melee swings. I'm unsure if there is a cap on StoreTP or not, but I personally went out and tested the supposed cap @ 100 StoreTP, and it was incorrect. This was before Heroes came out. Again, there may be a cap, but it is not at 100, so who knows where it may be, if it exists at all. Also, as I said, I have no idea if 4hit is possible, but it's not with a 437 delay weapon (well, not realistically...maybe with cor + 2stp atmas or something silly), which is what I personally use, so I ignored the 464 builds.
