I hate how cobblestone looks and I wish it wasn't so annoying to turn it back into stone.

How do you get mossy cobblestone?

I'm surprised the boat doesn't break. But yeah. I know for a fact that boats will float up to the top if you put them underwater so your diagram seems pretty spot on. Interesting concept for an elevator and it seems a lot faster than climbing ladders.

is there a way to retrieve a boat without breaking it? every time I try I seem to get sticks+planks instead of the actual boat lol

Unline minecarts, boats just break when you try to pick them up. Luckily they break into most of a boat, so it's not too much of a resource issue to keep placing and making them.

speaking of which, I really hate the way minecarts work. Is there any way to put coal in a powered minecart that's pushing you (while you're in a regular mine cart) without having it switch directions and run away from you?

Also do minecarts disappear if you don't pick them up before you quit the game?

Minecarts don't disappear when they have been placed on the map. As for powered minecarts... I don't use them so I'm not sure. I use boosters to propel my carts to and from my bases. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gPls6LXlkGI&vq has a tutorial on them if you or someone else needs one.

You can cycle the fog level by hitting the F key

So here I am, digging out a massive and deep mine that happens to be near the coast. I finally break into a huge, open cave room. I noticed that the ceiling was all sand. Been having fun on the bg server. Have a giant (but pretty boring) tower. And a cool underwater dungeon enclosed in glass. Need more people to build fun things to see

BGmine is looking awesomer and awesomer every day. Some great designs going on. BG Central Hub is turning into a bustling little city, with skywalks and roads and stairs and towers and statues and bridges and underwater glass forts.

I really want to build stuff on the server but I am afraid my game is just gonna crash again after 10 minutes of building. Java screws up and ruins my internet connection somehow and I have to restart my computer before I can do anything. Not very fun to build for 10 minutes at a time just to have to restart over and over again.
