if ragn ends up having to wipe the server, most of the people I spoke with last night are quite interested in Project Midgard.

making Midgard from FFVII will be our crowning achievement in safety and security from the zombie/skeleton/creeper horde.
It will begin with a spire rising from the ground to the height we are able to build. From there it will branch out to 7 massive plates, one for each of the prime BG Minecrafting groups.
The center spire will be our community holding center for building materials and primary safe haven. Teams will go down to the savage lands below, establishing small mining communities to help funnel supplies back to the spire and assist with the plate creation.

It is my hope that we can establish mining colonies for each plate, with defensive structures for dark times, as well as mine carts that function properly to funnel the supplies back with an escort. I also hope that if the mine carts do function, we can establish a transit system around the edges of each plates inner and outer structure to facilitate better movement.

Once the primary plate is established, we will build upwards and establish new plates and buildings, then build downwards to fill in the excess area, however we must be careful to not leave enough space so the foes we have arent guarded from the purifying sunlight.

Do we have build teams already? I would be up for this.

I know offline mode sucks but why can't I look rocks and coal? I dig them and nothing drops for me to pick up? Do I need another weapon other then a stick or am I playing in the wrong mode?

Nevermind, making a pickax out of wood made it possible...

I was wondering if I could get a little troubleshootin' for hosting my own private server (for survival, as bugged as it is)... I got the start-server java shit running, but minecraft crashes when I try to connect to the address that externalurl creates. If I put it in a browser, it appears to only let me play creative mode in a browser only. What gives?
