ok so....the little tnt project i had going i mentioned in the bg thread....i was mining iron in the wall, abnd aparently i held click for 1 millisecond too long.....not even halfway done of a 11x11x...however many layers down to bedrock + other tunnels, 3 hours of work ruined, plus my game froze -_- curious of the aftermath....
EDIT: nope, still not done exploding, and actually fatal error'd this time....
EDIT2: yea, i'm never going to get that save back....maybe it was a good thing that i failed halfway....-_-
I been working on single player for a while now on hard and its pretty bitchin.
Just added the water elevator to my bedrock mineshaft and now I'm making a castle outside which is going to have a lava moat and obsidian walls when I'm done. I'm tired of shit just being blown up by cocky creepers.
Then I am going to make the lava roll down hill a bit to give it some added effects :D
Also does anyone know of a good way to make a good one-way door thats creeper proof?
Only thing I can think of is a 1x2 hole I walk through and clog the bottem part with a block, other then that they can climb ladders and jump the gaps I can, I was thinking of a room with a S like path with lava inbetween because they are stupid and will walk a straight line.
Any thoughts?
EDIT: I'm fucking lost in single player and max distance fog and I still can't see my lighthouse landmark I built and I have a ton of shit on me too
EDIT2: Well it doesn't matter now, had a creeper ambush me and lost a diamond pick, 7 stacks of coal, some other diamond tools and a ton of cool shit and no idea where my body is.![]()

Stone button + Iron door
Door can only be opened by the button which only players can use.

You can try an S path with lava and it will work... both ways. Sooner or later you will fall in it. :s
EDIT: Even more creeper proof would be making an entryway room that has glass in it so you can see through to the outside.

EDIT EDIT: You wouldn't need stone door + button this way since mobs can't open doors... just remember to shut the door behind you.
50 seconds in
It even made it on the show, lol.
Wow good job on getting that recognized in so many places
Is there any real purpose to the Nether, or is it just there being stressful to you while you're trying to collect some cool looking blocks?
At any rate, fucked around on my server today....
Spoiler: show
Not sure whether to leave these areas in permanently or just load up my backup before I fucked around with the server settings. ;/
The Nether is simply the only place you can currently find Lightstone Dust, Mudstone, and Firestone.
Based on Notch's mention of Lanterns being difficult to obtain, it's likely that their recipe will involve Lightstone Dust. Either way, Lightstone blocks are as bright as daylight and are waterproof. Awesome lighting option if you have the patience/balls to get assloads of Lightstone Dust off the Nether's ceiling.
Pushing F4 now spawns portals all over the place.
bout time* added “no-animals” setting. if true, animals will immediately vanish
LMFAO fucking creeper omg haha. And night time? I haven't laughed that hard in such a long time...
"Ok nighttime! I don't know when they'll be attacking so...omg no not at once!"
"I have won the minecraft LARP! OH NO NO NO NO NO" *HISSSSSSSSSSSS*
"Ah, nice! Halloween Update biomes!" *handful of shitty snow* "Thanks, Notch, this is bad ass."
is what got me... lol...
does anyone else keep like crashing and freezing randomly ever since the update in singleplayer? for some odd reason i keep getting lag every time i play a game....
On my PC, I get a shitload of lag whenever new chunks have to be loaded (game stutters to death for the first 5min of starting my world) into view for some reason, along with random black-screen crashes, which thankfully hasn't fucked up my data so far. Gotta love that update.
Minecraft on my mac on the other hand, the performance is all over the fucking place, and I can't tell if it's due to java (latest version installed), or Minecraft's code not being as friendly to that platform.
yea i have no clue what's going on with this. I don't even have firefox or anything else open when i play it, but it's literally unplayable to me at the moment because i blackscreen every 15 min or so which then gets rid of my progress. so...guess i'll take a day off today from minecraft....;_;
Before the update it was perfectly fine (though it was getting a little laggy) then the update came and lag went to hell and blackouts.
