Wireless Xbox 360 controller for Windows issues.

Started the beta tonight and have tried using my wireless 360 pad for windows and I am having some issues, running it on 32bit Vista and everything configured fine but once the game starts my character wont stop running to the left as if the left analog was un centered when it was configured. I tried 2 other controllers thinking it might just be that controller but ended with the same results, I turned it off, restarted the pc and nothing helped. Decided to change the movement to the d-pad which stopped my character from moving but then the camera would constantly spin from the right analog stick.

I have went with just setting the d-pad as movement and left camera control blank which works for now but is a pain in the ass. If anyone knows a work around or fix to this I would appreciate it.

Try uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers?
They working for other games? Could be wireless interference?
I remember reading about faulty xbox wireless recievers a while back.. Any wired controllers you can try?

I had 0 issues with that same controller, so not sure. Like somebody suggested, maybe try uninstalling drivers, then reinstalling.

If your controller was off center when you configured it you need to reconfigure it naturally.

Specific to XIV though, the game has a threshhold/deadzone setting in the option (labelled "Calibrate"). Default is 0.2, but try setting it to 0.3 or 0.4. You can't use the "test gamepad" to find the right value as that apparently doesn't take it into account.
A good way of doing it is tick "Enable in background" and run the game in windowed mode so you can change settings while playing.

Thanks for the replies I tried it on another few games and had the same issue so gonna return it today and try another one as it seems it was the receiver that was malfunctioning. When I set up this next one I will try to offset it to .3 or .4 and see if that helps. Thanks everyone.
