So you're saying that they optimize the software for the largest marketshare and then poorly port it over to another OS?

Which is what probably 90% of developers the world over do, be it software or games.

The Market share on Macs is shit, and Adobe doesn't make money off of Flash. Given that Steve Jobs is ripping into Adobe, why should they give a flying fuck about making it run well?

It's an issue of confidence, if the company makes it run just as well as Windows it shows me they have talent, it shows commitment, it gives me confidence. I have no confidence in adobe.

I want to see it happen, who wouldn't want perfect working flash on mobile phones? I just don't believe they have it in them to do it anytime soon. I'm sure in 2020 when we have octo-cores in our phones it'll run fine, because they're the type that rely on brute hardware strength to get things running, they're inefficient developers.

HAY GUYZ, mobile devices can't display websites properly that aren't optimized for mobile devices. This obviously means flash is flawed. Let's switch to html5 which isn't fully supported, only has one good feature, and isn't even fully defined!


protip: It isn't always Flash that's the problem. It's the Flash DEVELOPERS that either don't optimize properly, don't optimize at all, or create shitty code. There's a lot of flash developers that aren't really good programmers, so the latter is quite possible.

It's like saying C++ is useless because someone created an application that crashed.

Now to get back to my new contract developing robust flash-based applications.
