Holy fucking shit if that happened to me I would be on the floor bleeding out the head from flipping the fuck out and tripping trying to get the fuck out of there. I'm cool with any kind of bug generally but centipedes are possibly the scariest crawly things in existence. At least of the ones I'm likely to see in the upper US states, anyway. I really, really, REALLY hope I never have to verify that story.

Centipedes aren't bad really, they are predators, so they are killing other small insects that would be in your house otherwise. Centipedes need a lot of moisture though, so you'll sometimes see them crawling out of drains and sink overflow holes. That's the unnerving part of trying to brush your teeth or wash your hands, they might be chilling in there. I've had one come out of the overflow hole when I was brushing my teeth once...

I once saw a giant-ass centipede crawl from my closet into a vent in my room next to my bed and I couldn't sleep that night. Centipedes are the worst surprise ever (aside from the buttsecks variety of course).
