    iPod stopping and restarting

So long story short, I bought an 80 GB 5th gen iPod from a member of these forums, and it works perfectly except in my car under certain conditions. I have the USB cord coming out of my deck in the glove box, and that's where the iPod sits. Now it works fine 99% of the time, but certain songs (like Lollipop) where the bass is intermittent, the very beginning of certain bass lines will cause the iPod to stop and reset. I'm pretty positive it's simply due to the excessive vibrations in the car. I thought all newer iPods were using SSD's, but I just found out that the classics are still using 1.8" HDD's

Here's the problem. I bought the iPod specifically for the car to store music videos so I could play them off my deck and drop down screen. This puts me in a bit of a bind because I need the large capacity (have around 20gb in music, no music videos yet) but at the same time I need something that isn't going to skip when the bass hits.

Now to the real question, what would be the best bet for my needs? Another MP3 player that supports video playback and uses and SSD? Putting music / songs on an SD card?

If you really think the problem is a vibration issue inside of the car, move the iPod. Keeping it in the glovebox puts it pretty close to a bunch of shit that would be shaking. Keep it in the center console or on top of it or something and see if it changes.

Well I took it out of the glovebox to kind of test it and it wasn't skipping when I was holding it in my hand. But I want it concealed, nothing makes me rage more than seeing people with wires all over the place for their ipod.

I think I'm going to try wrapping it in a microfiber or something
