So I have this 42'' polaroid LCD TV. Earlier this month I would go to turn on the TV, and it would not turn on unless I pressed the power button twice. Well last weekend I went to turn it off and the red standby light went off and the TV would not come back on. I'm guessing it's the power supply. I spend this week calling polaroid and they tell me they can fix it.................... for 300 bucks. The TV is only 2 years old! I'm raging so bad because when I bought it I paid about $1000 so why should I pay them another 300 to fix their product that failed after 2 bleepin years? Anyways </rant>. Is there a cheaper way to fix this? Could it just be a fuse or something? It's plugged into a surge protector, everything else plugged into it works fine, plugged into another outlet and still nothing, and yes I checked to make sure it was plugged in on the TV end. I'll probably just end up buying another TV. Anyone got suggestions for around $1000? I was lookin at sams club and they had a 42'' Vizio LED for about that.
Also never buy a TV from a camera company.
