Ballad III costs an 85BRD 150k. If an 85 BRD gets Ballad III in a merit party, they save 150k. Ballad III is worth 150k to them.
Ballad III can be sold by an 85BLM for 150k. If an 85BLM gets Ballad III in a merit party, they make 150k, which they potentially spend on Aero V, Waterja, etc. Ballad III is worth 150k to them.

Because it's a money drop, that goes to whoever it happens to drop to (or whoever wins the lot). Being gimp doesn't give you priority for money drops. It's not expensive, but it is extremely important, so coming to a party without it is retarded. It's not r/e, and it's not prohibitively expensive, and it's not even optional. There's no excuse for not having it right away.

And they still shouldn't need it to begin with. Having all your (important) spells is part of your job, and if you can't do all of your job, you're not worth a party slot, and shouldn't be there to begin with. I'd kick a brd who doesn't have ballad3 just as quickly as i'd kick a sam who was half naked.

Where did I mention solo drop? I said if you can use it (USE, NOT SELL) you should lot it. Sure, I agree they should come to a party with all that shit, but some people just don't play as often, or lack the playtime to make money. If 150k is that much to you, then you've got more problems then the guy lotting a scroll to learn a spell.

Presumably there aren't going to be too many gimps that go to parties without the spells they need, so only lettings the people that want to use it lot usually means only letting 1-3 people lot.


If they don't have much time to play, then they should be spending more time farming, and less time meriting.
