See, the problem is, even if you want to pull estimated gil/h numbers out, it doesn't work for people who wipe to darters. 20% claim, 20% ridill, 4way split, expected 200k/visit(20m ridill). If you add on nhead at 30% for 1m, that's another 15k. That's being a bit generous, since 20 people in aery with 4 being you is pretty low.. and either you or the other people with you don't bot since you were fucking with/wiping to darters in the first place. 215k/2 hours = 107.5k/h = nothing. Even the worst baha2 is like 25 min gather, 10 min fight * x. Let's say two, and only one thread no cloths. 1m from thread, 500k from misc drops, a scythe and a hose. Hose is worthless, scythe is worth 1m or so, adds up to 2.5m / 1.5 h(similar time spent on ouryu.25 min gather + 10 min fight x2) = 1.667m / 12 = 138k/h. Add on a cloth and it doubles. Add on two cloths and it triples. Add on a mask or staff sale.. blahblahblah. Not even same ballpark. This isn't to say bahamut is the most efficient thing ever(it's dropped a ton in the last 6 months like everything else), but it's certainly a far cry from being as obsoleted as fafnir.

That is all correct and I disagree with none of it, considering you were being generous with many of the sale prices; gg on taking the bait, though. I wasn't even trying to qualify camping faf past the point of obtaining what I wanted from it, I was merely pointing out that camping it when it holds something that is of some use to me still warrants me camping it. No one camps Hydra but it still has a useful piece, does that make killing it completely retarded? Not exactly. I mentioned the Bv2 thing because I realize it's not the productive use of time in terms of gil, but things like bahazag still have some value to be obtained, however small and pointless it is. If we wanted to do go in the g/h direction both are extremely retarded and about 7 times less lucrative than other things that take 15min total. Unless you were doing bahav2 explicitly for cash cloths then...idkbro.'

Edit: After rereading the first follow up post I made I realize I was incredibly vague that I was camping for the fact I wanted a ridill. Ambiguity apparently led to you thinking that I was trying to make gil off that when you know I make it other ways.

A lot of people are students and have homework/studying they can do. A lot of people that aren't students are somewhat responsible for maintaining a house/apartment which -should- be cleaned (inb4 messy gamers that never clean). Plenty of other people download and watch TV shows semi-regularly. Only types of people I can see that should really hate the idea of being semi-productive while afk are people that literally sit on the game all day long and don't want to/need to do a single thing outside of FFXI or people that are so busy IRL they can only logon for an hr a day. If you're anywhere in the middle, I really don't think it's very hard to plan to do various activities while camping a King.

That being said, we stopped camping kings @ 85cap, but /shrug.
