Recently just purchased a Sapphire HD 5770 Vapor-X 1GB GDDR5 to use in my new "budget" setup for Final Fantasy XIV. Last night when I put the system together, the screen flickered a few times but I didn't think anything of it really. Today, while running the benchmark for XIV, the flickering resumed again during the "High" Settings movie and eventually just shut off. There was nothing I could do but simply power off the machine.
Since then, there have been screen flickers or lines running up and down the screen at random intervals. This even occurs while the computer is booting up, before Windows even loads. Attempting to run the Final Fantasy XIV benchmark on High always seems to result in the computer outright crashing. I have not overclocked this card at all. . . its at its factory default settings. Windows was just installed less than 24 hours ago so I don't think it needs a fresh install. I've updated the drivers not once, but three times and the issue is still unresolved. I started to think maybe the card wasn't seated correctly or a wire was loose but I took care of that as well.
I don't think it could be a heating issue or a power issue. I'm pretty sure those are pretty sufficient. I'll just post the parts I purchased anyways in case I overlooked something and something is horribly wrong.

Everything else is the stock/default parts that came with the rest of the parts. Let me know if there's anything you can think of before I RMA this thing back to NewEgg.
