SLASH ANGRY is currently seeking applicants who can find ALL HATS. The applicant will be expected to focus entirely on ALL HATS in order to have every piece of head gear available in the game. While other pieces of gear will be accepted, we are looking for someone who can wear a different hat for each event as necessary. SLASH ANGRY already has some of the top-ranked glove-wearers on Kashuan for Open Beta, but someone focusing on ALL HATS will be preferentially accepted. Hola, boys and girls, Zeith here, Slash Angry's resident president of the Discipline Committee and Continuing Education Advisor at Ul'dah Community College. I'm here to answer some questions, dispel a few myths, and otherwise get you pumped up about your choices for ranking Disciplines as a member of Slash Angry!

First things first, a little background, cliffs notes. As you may have seen from the OP, Slash Angry is both a) premier and b) endgame, but don't let that fool you into thinking you can't keep it casual with your fellow members. Whether you're a stay-at-home Mom playing online or looking to pick up some night Leves to round out your character and develop new abilities and actions for a potential career change, Slash Angry has a program for you! While neither myself or any of the other members of the Slash Angry staff are going to tell you that you can't spend your time leveling every discipline to Rank 5 before committing, I'd like to remind you of your promise to yourself, the promise you may not have known you made when you signed up.

Mm-hmm. That's right, you've got it. That promise is simple, well, on the surface anyway: I am endgame. Right? Right. So you can't level every discipline to Rank 5 before committing.

Now, now. I can see the look of confusion, concern, dare I say fear, on the faces of some of you here. Perfectly reasonable. Don't mistake our kindness for weakness, but don't think that because we have a few rules, I'm going to be some horrible draconian Dickensian factory boss. It's simply this, dear applicants: I want you to succeed. I have seen... Sorry, it's a little overpowering. Excuse me. I have seen Slash Angry's hat collection. And I-I... I just want so bad for you to all be able to share in that. To have every hats.

To know, in your heart, the sense of fulfillment that it brings. If you've read the scans of the closed beta instruction manual you can find on Rapidshare, I mean if you've really read them. Y'know, read between the lines, and all. You'll see that this is really why we're all in Eorzea. To befriend one another, to do mining leves with Guardian's Aspect, but even more than all of that, to have every hats.

So. Where were we? Ah, yes. The road, glorious and warm though it may be, is not an easy one to walk. It requires discipline. The use of the singular is not accidental. Dedication to a cause, if you'll pardon my already tl;dr, is what breeds success in a joint endeavor. There are three kinds of people in this world, Eorzea. There are punchfiters, and there are craftzards, and, I'm sorry to say, there are people who try to be both. That's never a pretty sight. Nobody wants to be a craftfiter, nobody wants to be seen with a craftfiter.

Obviously there is subclasses. Setting aside the sinful abomination unto the face of Byregot that is craftfiting, let's talk about subclasses.

Slash Angry's Five Point Success Plan For Success reads as such:

• Pick A Focus
• Level That Focus
• Level that Focus some More
• Do a craftDON'T DO A CRAFT
• Get Hats
• Level your Focus' Focus

So i.e. e.g. viz. if you're a Pugilist, obviously you'll level Tanner for repairs, and hats, Weaver for hats, Armorsmith for hats, and Conjurer for Cure. But it's not like you're going to rank every Discipline, because you'll be expected (though not required (though expected)) to attend Event-type events as your Focus Discipline, which in this case is Pugilist.

Craftzards, likewise, will be expected to rank only Hand Disciplines that relate to their primary focus. If you're an Armorsmith, for example, you'll level only those disciplines which are secondary in armor recipes, namely Blacksmith, Tanner, Goldsmith, Carpenter, Alchemist, and Weaver. Also Archer because Byregot hates people who Wrist Flick. I don't care if it's in the privacy of your own home. Byregot can still see you. Also Miner to jack your physical level like woah, no, I'm not kidding, shit is ridiculous, it takes like three leves.

As a side note, all Disciplines, Hand, Land, War, Magic, or otherwise, are *REQUIRED* to earn 5,000 Guild Points with the Weavers' Guild for Hatting Training. How you do it is up to you.

Okay. I've already gone on long enough, and I know how people who read BG are barely literate even on a good day, so I made a chart which should simplify things. Simply find the color that matches you, whether you be Punchfiter or Craftzard. You have a favorite color, don't you? Then just follow the lines from your focal discipline to see which disciplines you'd be allowed to rank in Slash Angry.
