I didn't watch Beck's rally, i don't watch anything relating to Beck anymore... after spending some time watching a lot of Beck's stuff when he transfered over to Fox to see just how full of crap he really was, I decided that I would never again watch any show that he was on. Mostly because whenever I see him on TV I come VERY close to throwing my tv out the window.

I feel bad for people who attended the rally/watch Beck on TV and actually buy into everything that he says. these are people who almost immediately after Obama won the election believed that our country was being stolen away from them... before Obama even had a chance to move into the white house, nevermind actually passing any legislation. these are the same people who believe that america is the bastion of modern ideas, modern technology, blah blah blah, etc... If any of these people had actually ever left the country and visited just about any country in Europe and some in Asia (especially countries like England, France, Portugal, Holland, Spain, Germany, and definitely Japan) would realize that ALL of these countries are ahead of us technologically, have a more modern infrastructure than us, and blow us out of the water when it comes to modern legislative ideas. Also, instead of yammering on about how liberalism is ruining our country, the conservatives in our country should realize that the USA is the MOST conservative country in the modern world... all of the modern european and asian countries are FAR more liberal than the USA, and that is the prime reason why they are ahead of us in almost every way. Honestly, the conservatives in most modern european and asian countries would actually fall somewhere in the middle in the political landscape of the USA.

So... If an extremist like Beck or Palin were to ever become president, I would consider going AWOL and moving to England or France. Most likely France since they would almost never deport an american national.

I should say, I apologize that a good portion of what I said in my extended rant had already been said by many of the people on this thread. But, I simply had to get all of that off of my chest.
