I really like how all the fanboys are screaming at the moment due to the beta delay. "This game will fail! OMG! If they delay the beta a day or 2 they will not make it in time! Why would...fanboys scream out huge negatives about something if they are fanboys? How about this. I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy shit anymore at all, so I can offer a biased opinion. I still think there's way too many bugs to release it THIS MONTH. I mean seriously. This should still be in a closed beta. That's my opinion. If you don't like it, too fucking bad. Deal with it.

Honestly, if SE truly learned anything at all, they'd take this back and make sure they can work out all kinks they can. Obviously any new game, especially a MMO, is bound to have bugs and problems, but I just don't think the amount of testing they've done on this is the proper amount.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test Postponed: Follow-up

We would like to take this opportunity to provide an update regarding the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test, which was announced to be postponed on Aug. 31, 2010.

A critical issue where the client software for the open beta test would not respond on certain rare occasions has been addressed. As of now, we are in the final stages of preparation for the start of the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Test.

A new schedule will be released at a later date. Until then, we ask for your patience in this matter.

They actually provided an update . . .
