and 4megs for the 2nd one
Geez, it sounds like we won't be able to even get our codes until 10pm EST tonight. The lag will be....un...believ..e...able....
Yeah, since I have to work tonight at 10pm I'm wondering if it will be worth it to be late. I'm worried the lag will take me way over.
was asking for an upload but changed it as I finally used utorrent.
gonna upload latest patch if anyone would like it.
Oh snap. It's coming at 10 pm EST!!! I can't wait!
Been sitting on 3/3 at 97ish % for the past hour, as the Dl speed goes between 0 and a few b/s.
I quite like the patcher's music :3
Mod request: Since a lot of people will be looking to use torrent version due to the S-E client downloader being all fucky, I need one poster here to do me a favor. I need a single, clear, concise post in plain english that includes where to find the files, what folder to put the files in once the torrent is finished, and what steps to take after it's in place so that I can sticky it, since it's been asked about 642 times in this thread alone.
Either I'm really bad with timezones or you guys are... but it's probably me.
Spoiler: show
JP midnight never changed yet I always had issues, you'd think I'd be able to get it straight.

Also Domon, they are correct. Well technically it's EDT.
Only thing I'm not 100% sure of is the Windows Vista directory but who uses that anyway.
Additionally note that I believe patches are region specific as a number of people I know downloaded hosted patches and failed to get it working that way.
And lastly this requires that you haven't modified the location of the My Documents Folder/Library, though if you have done that you probably don't require this.
Related directories
Inside the My Documents, games folder:
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<Username>\My Documents\My Games
Windows Vista, 7: C\Users\<Username>\My Documents\My Games
Alternatively you can use the following target in Windows Exporer:
Windows XP, Vista, 7:%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games
Goto the subdirectory in this folder:
FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta
This is the same as typing in:
Windows XP, Vista, 7:%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Version\downloads\ffxiv-beta
In this directory will be several folders that consist of alphanumeric digits, each one has the following structure:
<Foldername>/metainfo
<Foldername>/patch
Inside the metainfo folder are the .torrents for each FFXIV patch.
You can identify the torrent you require as it will be displayed in the FFXIV Patcher, simply match the filename with the torrent name.
Open this torrent file with what ever your standard torrent application is and either point the destination path to the patch folder of the specific patch or copy it into this folder on completion.
Once this is complete start up the FFXIV Patcher and it will process the file and unless there's any errors jump to the next file if applicable.
This is a stupid question, that i cant seem to find anywhere else, so feel free to call me stupid. Where exactly are the registration codes being given out? is it in the SE Account Management System Page, or the Home page for the Beta Test?
That's correct for Vista.
Enjoy the lagfest ladies and gentlemen I'll be giving this a wide berth until release. The lag was pretty bad in beta can't imagine playing it in open beta and trying to land haymakers on pugilist. Good luck to you all.
