Same here, didn't even get anything in my spam.
Since they're so uncommon to actually recieve. I wonder if I was just lucky recieving this one, but won't recieve the one with the code, when it comes later. :/ Lol.
Sounds like someone needs to use gmail... or even hotmail. XD
I always get worried about important emails like for stuff like this, since Yahoo is always delayed, sometimes I get emails that show up in the afternoon saying they were sent in the morning. That being said I haven't seen anything yet in either my spam folder, or the inbox from SE.
Hard to believe people expected this to go right.
Yeah. I use aim and yahoo, since they're the emails I've had for about a decade. Back when gmail was invite-only. Is it still?
I'm a little confused here. We're locked out of the old beta test site I know, and from reading this it says if we go to entry.ffxiv.com for getting a new code or whatever. If we were hand picked by SE already to be in earlier beta/alpha and didn't get in on the keys given out by BG and all the other sites, don't we get automatically added into all betas? I also see that they have a download link up for the Open Beta client, if we already had a beta client downloaded though, do we need to download this new one, or is the same?
Hasn't been for ages upon eons now.
They changed their minds. Probably has a lot to do with their decision to further segregate the accounts by region--they had to deactivate quite a few beta accounts from (for example) EU players who got NA copies of FFXI and thus had NA accounts. Easier to just nuke them all and start over.
So now it's first come first serve? Getting too many different answers. I think I'm just gonna stop reading for the day and come back when the entry site is suppose to be giving out codes.
if you got a beta code before youll be able to get it upgraded to the new code system.
if you were a fuckwit and didnt register your beta code that I or one of the other sites gave you, youll be able to get that code converted... eventually.
I will be (most likely) given more newtype beta codes to hand out to people once the open beta eventually fills up etc.
I am currently asking for a complete server name list
I'm guessing something is just broken right now cause they're dickin around with the whole account setup and whatnot.... The post on the dev forum the other day specifically said those who had to manually enter keys for beta would not have access to the forums... They didn't say anything about us losing our access entirely, and they've repeatedly said alpha/beta testers would have access to all future tests.... I seriously doubt we'll have to completely re-register, and have a chance at not even being able to gain access to it due to the first come first serve basis of it.
But I, like everyone else...have no idea. =P
So where on this open beta application site does it give you a link to follow to get your old access updated to new access? I'm not seeing any links other than to download the client, switch to EU version, or link FFXI and FFXIV.
Hmm my friend got a beta invite but never had a chance to activate it as he came back from overseas on the 27th, question is if he can still trade it in for the open beta invite? Or is he out of luck?
