Finally got the Beta working, and just before I would have normally had to get up anyways. Yay~ SE making it so that the up/down arrow keys are locked is going to drive me crazy for at least a month though. Possibly two.

Anyone know offhand how to run it full screened? For me it opened in a window w/o the maximize option. It's probably something obvious enough, but I haven't slept and don't think I'm thinking too clearly right now.

In the start menu > Square Enix > Final Fantasy XIV Beta Version > Final Fantasy XIV Beta Version Config. General > Video Settings

After the initial fiasco it's actually running very well for me, not crashing, not very laggy at all, pretty smooth. It was just the influx of people at the beginning that made it crazy...

Same. I wonder how many times the 'Apply for the open beta test' button has been clicked tonight alone. The closed beta wasn't nearly this bad.

Try using the link mentioned earlier in this thread as opposed to using the "Apply for open beta test" button on the page linked in email. Every time I pressed that button I would get an error, but using the link I would get to a log-in screen 90% of the time.

Ok so is anyone having a problem with getting past this? "The FINAL FANTASY XIV Beta Test Site can only be accessed by those who have been granted Beta Test accounts.

Beta testers can log in from the link below using their Square Enix Account."

Each time i enter and log in it just keeps throwing me back to this.. anyone care to help me out?

actually i made it to the log in screen, but after inserting my user and password, it's back to the error page again

and.. then nothing.. back to the start..

Thanks Uwen. After waiting a bit and clicking your link, closing the Server Error page and then re-clicking your link (all zombie-like, expecting it not to work...) Eventually it did and now I have a new email in my Gmail box.

After clicking his link about 50 times (closing the 'server error' page after each try) I reached the log-in screen... tried that about half a dozen times, fumbling in the dark to load the security token number as fast as I could...... eventually it let me in.

Unfortunatly the alternative link posted here is for NA users, and it is indeed working for me, but having an EU account it is not accepting my login RAWR...anyone got one of alternative links for us EUs? normal OB page keeps giving me server error ever since it was available.
