Yeah, this version is less stable than previous beta builds, which I find kind of funny.

Updating to the latest revision of C++ 2010, latest graphics drivers, etc. can help a little bit, but isn't a cure-all.

Btw, in the SE acct management. 'PlayOnline' is the same as FFXI, yes? In terms of having XI and XIV on the same account to get speed boots. Im 99% sure, just wanted to double check that I didnt have to add FFXI seperatly from PlayOnline somehow. I have my XI satcheltoken, so I assume PlayOnline means XI as well.

I'm curious to see how bad the lag and crashes will be tonight now they appear to have opened the flood gates entirely. I played for about 8 or 9 hours yesterday and had one crash on Figaro which was pretty full by the time I hopped on it even; hoping they don't get any worse from here on out :/

I don't take it you can enter your FXIII promo code yet? Seems like you should be able to since by entering the OB code you are registering XIV

Not that I am aware of. But speak of special gifts. I know nobody has any, but some people seem to be flying past me at extreme speeds despite not having any gear to do so. Its certainly not lag on my end, everything is going smooth as hell.

crzy. Iv been playing since... 8 oclock iv closed it twice manually cuz its froze up. It hasn't crashed yet per say(no C++ errors). But it has "frozen" where i couldn't do anything.
playing on 32 bit vista <_< on my laptop

what has been kicking my ass is the lag. ~.~ ugh im on lindblum and that servers fucked.

its crashed to desktop no less than 6 times, and the 4 into standby.

Were they gathering classes? They get a quickening effect when they use one of their abilities and are far away from any points.

Probably not, afaik they still dont intend to let characters carry over, only names if you choose the same server.

Well I was able to acquire a registration code and go into the Square Enix account management and register FFXIV as a service then it told me to log into the FFXIV beta site with my Square Enix account ID/Password/One-time-password and it says account not found and then put up a message saying you can't log in with a SE account ID and have to use a FFXIV ID. Which it seems they are not allowing anyone to make a new FFXIV beta ID.

But it's weird because it says I am not logged in but I was able to download the client installer.
