I read about 2 paragraphs saying that its been postponed. Was there any more to the "article" than that?
Not really.

^ should ditch the zero and get with the μ-hero
Client goes to the login screen now. And you can input your beta key into the se members site.
Yea I'm about to give up on this. I can't get it to connect. While everyone else is able to.... has to be something on my end... I'll try and install the client on my MAC and see what happens...
So, assuming you have registered your account with your appropriate country and updated your beta client... are we simply waiting for http://entry.ffxiv.com/na/index.html to issue codes?
It must be awfully inconvenient to forget how to read halfway through reading shit.
Let's see. The insinuation that beta length correlates to game quality. The sensationalist title and article text that ignores or severely downplays the significance and length of the closed beta phases. Trying to make a big deal about bugs being found in a beta. The closing statement that they contacted SE but they haven't replied yet.
My favorite MMOs had no open beta. The worst MMO I've played in quite some time had a rather lengthy one. Furthermore, the postponement of a beta phase to work out bugs is not newsworthy.
are you fucking kidding me?

Well, everyone I've seen that had problems with the client crashing had the problem resolved by (insert magic driver version number found through pure trial-and-error here). I remember when I put FFXI and Windower on my new laptop, I had to try literally over a dozen different drivers due to an issue with my card on Win7. Regardless though, I wish you luck.Hopefully you don't need quite so many attempts.... XD
The maintenance was not part of the "critical bug." Last I checked atleast.
