It depends on how good your weaponskills are. For Monk, I highly doubt these are worth the effort because so much damage comes from normal TP punches. I'm less certain with Puppetmaster because of Stringing Pummel and Tactical Switch.

question about slow II and Paralyze II, are they worth 5/5? like does that increase their potency in spell, or does it just benefit for magical accuracy, I ask cause I was told 1/5 is all I would need and that 5/5 would be a waste of merits.

Each merit increases potency by 1%. Slow2 is not worth meriting past 1 unless you do tons of blood tanking, because with two separate utsu recasts you'll typically always have one up anyway, so more slow doesn't decrease damage taken at all. Para2 is worth meriting to 5 though.

Since Shield is skilled up by blocking instead of attacking, does the mob you're skilling on need to be of a certain level like when skilling a weapon? And if so, can anyone think of a spot that would be good for skilling shield at Lv85? Everything I can think of in ToAU areas is Decent Challenge or lower at that level.

Where the cool kids killing Vermin these days? Have 700 for my Khanda trial, and while I can kill 96 in an hour if I get Grauberg to myself, it can be annoying dodging treants from time to time while also just being pretty boring with all the running around by myself.

It's not overly fast since you gotta wait for them to be resummoned, but Goblin's Beetles in Sauromugue [S] have barely 1200HP, and are still EP to Lv85.

or go thrash the helm beetles in cnest, they're all grouped up, but only bad part is the slow zilart respawn times.

Respawn is based on location, not expansion/etc. outdoor areas all have 5 min repops, dungeons have 12-16 min repops (originally all were 16, but some common exp mobs were lowered).

I've been scratching my head during Abyssea parties lately wondering this, and my search skills fail me... Why do NA/EU Abyssea parties avoid amber lights, where JPs get all lights? Does having amber built up really decrease the chance of other chests dropping? I want more AF3 feet for my other jobs, but we never get large gold chests in NA/EU groups, only when I go with JPs...

Byakko and genbu are worthless (20-50k), suzy and seiryu seems to sell in the range of 150-300k.
