How do I identify entry id and index values? Would like to get the blue magic list up to date, half the entries on my recast list are unknown at any given time right now.

Index just needs to be unique (9000 should work), entry can be 0.

What confuses me though is if martial arts was not intended to work on footwork, when it did, shouldn't we have gotten all the martial arts traits and not just the -20 delay of the newest trait?

It depends how they coded it. They could have been letting martial arts apply to footwork and artificially ghettocoded the delay higher so it would be reduced to 480 after traits.

Everytime I cast refresh II after today's update, I'm getting "...A command error occurred." The culprit appears to be Spellcast. Any idea how to fix?

Skilling guard is a waste of time. You have perfect gear? If not work towards that. You have mountains of gil? if not go farm. Just about anything you can do will be more constructive than skilling guard. Take it from someone whose guard was capped at 75. So fuckin worthless, no plans of skilling it further.

Nope, every single synth will always result in a loss. Even if you manage to sell anything on the ah, which is nearly impossible.
