Is it possible to solo in abyssea and get actual chests like a party does? I know how lights etc. work for an alliance to get time extensions, more exp or more items but was wondering has anyone worked out a way to solo or low man light like this?

It'd probably work like an alliance but on a smaller scale. Low man would probably work, but solo seems harder. Unless your a blu and can produce all 4 lights you'd need to at least duo it. /sch Kill shots might work but it'd be hard. Also you'd kill far slower so you'd see less chests.
Does enlight not allow for excalibur's additional effect to kick in? pretty sure enspells on RDM fuck it over.
SpellCast can in fact account for fast cast. You just have to tell it how. And tell it exactly how much fast cast you have. You need accurate values on your FC gear and trait totals, and it can take some tinkering to get it working right. But once it is, it's really cool.
This beautiful little snippet of code is from IneptVagrant's SCH Nuke Tier Reduction xml. The rest in in the user subbmitted XMLs on the windower site. Assuming you have your fast cast info set accurately, it can calculate exactly when a spell should go off.

Its pretty sweet. I use a modified version of it to set the midcast times of spells on my pld and rdm. I didn't like standing in my casting gear for 3~4 seconds after I cast long spells.
On pld, I want to be back in my TP/tanking gear as soon as a spell is off, and on rdm any delay on getting movement+ back on sucks for soloing.
This is also fairly reliable for making almost any spell blink out, assuming you swapped visible gear for it.
Best magian (Non empyrean) gun for cor for stuff that isn't QD? I know MAB Mayhem +1 beats out every other non armageddon gun for QD.
+10% WS damage gun will give you the highest numbers for Slug shot and Leaden salute, r.acc gun gives you the most acc for slug, martial still beats everything else for detonator. depending on what WSs you use under what conditions those 3 guns are your best picks. Personally I'd just do MAB and and WS+10% and just keep using martial detonators when I wont have the acc for slug.
