ruby light 100% does matter
ruby light 100% does matter
Are there any issues with the new cap being lvl85? Should I still be sticking with the old 3 aby zones, or should I go to the new ones?
It's a trade-off between killspeed and the initial rate at which experience per mob climbs. The old zones are still great for experience because, after a certain point in time, ruby light and killspeed are going to be the main determining factors in exp/hr, not mob base exp.
If you intend to stay for 24 hours and know for a fact you'll always have reps or have someone to build ruby outside, maybe they're a viable camp. If not, it's fucking retarded to exp on a mob that takes 4-6 hours to cap exp.. can hit 600 in 70 min on crapaudy. I've done 190k in a 1-hour timespan, not a 190k estimate from expwatch/etc during the second hour of a crapaudy party.. first hour was 70k, making an average of 130k/h over 2 hours(will go up if you stay longer but people will reset constantly so.. needs to be kept in mind. I was doing 80-85.). This is without spamming fell cleave, -ga, or any special trick.. just good pulling and competent melee. Pull time is most of exp rate: crapaudy die in 10-12 seconds average with a competent exp-minded alliance. There are 23 spawns, you can reasonably link 6-8 at a time as they don't cast or tp. A kill every 10 seconds is sustainable forever with proper coordination, resulting in (6*600*60=216k cap). Cointeaches, being on the same repop timer, max at 308 kills an hour or 185k exp. They cast, aggro, have a nasty blood aggro radius, and do quite a few other things that'll potentially give you problems if you camp in the middle.. all for less potential exp. Add on that you need to kill(75% box * 1/10 red box * 1/4 ruby * 2 avg strength * .05(20 needed) 5320 mobs to cap ruby light before you even CAN cap gold(potentially less as red rate will go up as you progress but realistically it's going to be at least 1500).. shit's not pretty.
It's a neat farming camp, but it's not even going to result in 50% of the exp that crapaudy do. Competition? Ok, go to worms. Still competition? How about birds? Cointeaches have no real advantage.. any mob should be dying faster than pulls.
yes, but mobs don't need to natively generate ruby light for a party to cap on exp quickly and efficiently. if you're having trouble doing so, you're doing it wrong
I've NEVER had it take even remotely close to that long to cap on coins. I don't really bother with pickups anymore and we use better mobs in linkshell parties so I can't go back and time it, but it's certainly at 70 min or under if you're killing at a reasonable speed
That's not at all true. You could send people to farm ruby light on other mobs, but it takes ~200-250 kills to cap the family bonus at 400 per mob. After that, any exp bonus requires gold lights. Gold lights are less than 10% from base red boxes(and always weak), which are 10% with no ruby. This gives you a <1% chance of a gold light per kill.. I don't care how you do it, if you don't have ruby light you're not capping exp in under 4 hours.
If you want to make a case for sending people to get ruby on other mobs, there are still a good dozen reasons why cointeaches suck:
1. Squib
2. They cast
3. Squib
4. They aggro
5. Squib
6. They have only 18 spawns
7. Squib
8. They blood aggro
9. Squib
10. No native ruby is obnoxious when people need to warp for merits/job change
11. Squib
12. Squib
The numbers you're responding to were approximations for ruby light from chests. I can't see it being possible to cap exp with native ruby in <4, but without exact probability it's more or less our observations vs each other and hard to say either is right.
I can't stress this enough though: If you're going for exp, as opposed to triggers or time as primary goal, you're fucking retarded if you don't obtain ruby.
Didn't realize those frogs don't do jack cept try to smack you. Gonna give them a try next time I make an alliance, 50k/hr on mandies seems slow in comparison! Thanks for the help.
yes I found them all just recently cause I had this issue.

Best place for slime trials?
Weather relevant? Den of rancor I'd think if not.
Slimes in dark, ice, earth, water weather? I did Rangeumont with a sync. Only annoying thing is repop timers.
Nah, don't need weather, doing staves.
Rough aprox of how many A Ward to End All Wards trades to get rank 3 in Vunkerl? I can only find info about the bag quest.
20 flat was enough for me, 15 wasn't, didn't check in between.
Thanks for the quick replies. Just a repost of an old question, but is the turtle KS99 low mannable? And any suggested setup to try it?
