Yes, unless the DEX doesn't contribute to WSC or pDIF is capped.

No idea but it gives a hell of a lot of Racc. I was able to hit mikey on thf without sushi or racc gear at a fairly good rate with it, just for testings sake.

How much accuracy do you need on Frogs in Abyssea? Those seem way more evasive than anything else that people exp on.

Do kick attack merits/gear have any use in a footwork build?

Shit's situational. With oa3 claws, the effect of ka is severely diminished, but obviously it does still help a little.

About 40-50 more evasion points than other abyssea mobs. (I think)

Eh, I dunno, I used to read and respond to both these threads all the time, it's probably where the vast majority of my posts came from, but after a while I got too annoyed at typing out the same shit over and over again, and really, lets face it, this thread really is a broken record (that's also hard to search) most the time. If you did a separate forum, and did it -correctly- it would end up being less work for both posters and question-posers, but more work for moderators, in my personal opinion. You could sticky threads like "Which Magian GK is the best", and with an active mod, rather than bitching at people, you could merge threads or post a link to where it was answered and lock the thread, etc. Really, I've even gone looking for old posts I made or others made in Random Question/What's Better, and it was more work than just redoing the math from scratch.

And as was already stated, it also would allow more in-depth discussions of topics that come up, fwiw.

I've never had any trouble searching for my posts here. I usually have around 10% of the posts in random question (i had 312 out of 2990 of the last thread), and even still searching by thread, name, and a few key words, it's pretty easy to find any specific post. I guess it'd be hell if you're trying to find a post if you don't remember who posted it, but even then, you could always narrow it down by date if you know roughly when it was posted, and then just scan through a few results, which doesn't take too long.

I suppose there are tons of repeated questions though, and it'd certainly help with that.

Eh, i don't know. Maybe it would be a bit easier.

For Jailer of Faith what kind of party setup is good at 80? Mostly I've seen from before something like MNK BRD WHM RDM(orWHM) THF and if you have an extra do BRD/COR/BLM. Can you get away with less than that? Also, a little more details on what songs (Wiki says Capricio...) and gear for the MNK would be appreciated. Thanks!

My acc on DNC is usually capped during TP, let alone WS. If I do get the CHR+6 Waltz-2, what would be a WS piece in it's place until I can get that?

MNK WHM THF/WHM is the bare minimum. If the WHM suck, I wouldn't bother and would hunt down an extra person for support. Marchx2 all the way. I had full usu/cerb+1/black belt/8 h2h merits and was able to use carbonara (for extra HP). Could use pizza if the MNK is of standard gear. Never got 1 shotted by any ws with counterstance up; they all tend to do 1k or below.

Definitely hinges on WHM being able to stona/erase>haste/silena fast enough though... bonus if THF is equally good in helping getting rid of those status crap.

Is WHM better than other healers for Cure5 or was it just for Stona mainly pre-80? I could fairly easily get a RDM friend to heal if that works (since they have Stona /WHM now) and then I could BRD instead of WHM and just dual box a THF for TH. If hate from Cure4 isn't an issue, I'd assume MNK BRD RDM would be a faster/safer kill than MNK WHM?

I assume for shadows: Don't cast at all until you have Slow erased and Haste is re-applied?

Edit: Also, were you 80MNK with that accuracy or 75? Friend is still 76 since he rarely uses MNK but I could bug him to do an Abyssea PT and get it to 80 if it matters.

I wasn't able to find the answer to this via Search and I'm just now starting to level RNG so please forgive the noob question:

If I'm understanding correctly, the OA2 Bow just works as if you fired two shots when it procs (ie Double TP return)... But I'm wondering if someone could please explain to me how Double Attack (From /WAR or gear like Brutal Earring) works for Ranged TP and Weapon Skills?

It doesn't. SE recently added Double Shot JA for rangers. Double attack does nothing for them.

    re: WB? + RQT comments

If this were three years ago, a forum based off these threads would be Old Newbie / Standard. 99% of the moderation I did in there was slapping down people who snarked at repeated questions. As mentioned, these stickies allow for repeats, and while they're certainly not the best for searching info, they do keep down jerks from making a new thread every time they can't shot something. Plus I get to rename them :3.

As always, huge appreciation and kudos to the people who do camp these threads to answer questions, you're my favourite jerks.

Standard and Advanced were merged last year, at the lowest point in FFXI activity. This year there are a flood of new questions, answers and issues that need to be dealt with.

There is too much going on now for the way the forums are currently organized.
