I have 5 merits on assimilation but i dont know what else should i put them in, i like Enchainment, and i will get at least 1 diffusion, but with Efflux now available, wouldnt Enchainment's benefits diminish ?? Do they stack?

Im still unsure, but id like 4 enchainment and 1 diffusion unless at least 1 convergeance is a must, or if enchainment isnt that usefull anymore, maybe more merits on diffusion...

Any ideas or opinions on where i should place group 2 merits?

For the I Dream of Flowers quest, is there an issue where the grave won't take the Lilac?

Edit: Ok to make things clear I:

1) Went and talked to the galka then I traded him the flower. Afterwards he tells me to go SE to the grave.
2) I teleport to conflux 08 and trade the Lilac to the patch of grass, nothing happens. I've also tried talking to it first and get its standard dialog but nothing happens after trading the Lilac. I activated this quest after the update.

Not happening to anyone else?

What's the current good setup for a mnk? Haven't played for a couple months, I'm falling way behind.

Athamas and Avalerion are both easy. RDM/WHM (or BRD/WHM I'm sure) and MNK/NIN can duo both. Mage needs to keep buffs up on Avalerion 'cause Feather Tickle is a hate reset on the target. Erase fast after draw-in on Athamas.

Fight both away from adds obviously, to avoid things getting nasty.

Minor nitpick, fairly sure Athamas does not link with the spiders around him, and the regular spiders don't aggro, other than that sound advice. If you move as soon as you get drawn-in by Athamas you can avoid getting -ga enfeebled and potentially avoid item lock by using echos or whatever, but not really too important.

Wiki lists Vivid Strap as 5% fast cast. As usual there's no link to source or any testing at all. I was wondering if anyone heard of any legit testing. I remember cdreg did testing on the recast, and noticed it worked like a few other pieces of fast cast gear in that it wouldn't give a reduction in recast unless stacked /w other fast cast gear or traits~ (Similar to Fast Cast+ on ACP Body.) cdreg's testing would put the strap at Fast Cast+1 or +2 at most.

NQ Spiders won't aggro, but they will link to Athamas, as of the first day of Scars.

I was wondering about Dynamis and entering after another group leaves early. We were kept waiting by a group today who entered later than their normal time, and even after they all dropped their glasses we were unable to enter the zone for approximately 15 minutes after they left... What are the rules as far as exiting a zone before all of your time is used up? I always thought the zone would become available right away if everyone in the previous group dropped their hourglasses and exited, and if they exit without dropping their hourglass they have only 10 minutes to reenter before it becomes available to the next group.

Annoyed that they took our server down for maint and don't have anything on website about it... /sigh, guess I just have to keep trying to log in until it works since the site thinks it's still up... Hope they fix the login problems so many people have been having lately...

As said, they definitely do link. Also, I'm aware that you can run out of spell range, but you should be busy erasing and re-hasting instead. Echo drops takes a second to use.

Efflux and Enchainment stack; also keep in mind that Enchainment only applies when CA is active. I did 5 Assimilation 3 Enchainment 1 Diffusion 1 Convergence, but the Convergence merit definitely depends on what you do. I like it for making AoE enfeebles single-target from time to time along with a little extra oomph on nukes for the hell of it. If you don't feel you'll get much out of it, by all means put 4 merits in Enchainment.
